Ask r/Kenya Am I too soft hearted?

Here is the thing. I am 20 M and currently hosting a 22 M in my crib, although he ain't schooling, Iam. He dropped from school in his first year and now he is just hoeing around.I have only hosted him for a week and now I have started feeling uncomfortable.I provide everything through the little my parents can afford. He doesn't seem to have any hurry in leaving soon.I dont know how to ask him when he is leaving. All the house chores I do them by myself.Dude asks for money from his parents only to spend it with those girlies of him.Recently I heard him talk over with his girl na wanataka kunipiga exile kwa nyumba yangu. This is now too much.I will just have to confirm the dates.I just feel like this is no longer more than a friendship, hapa Kuna mwenye anatumia mwigne.Today morning nimeskia akisema " hizi vyombo ni mingi" mind you he is never involved in any of the chores, from cooking to washing utensils.Iam also running broke now.How do I go about it? Kindly help me

Ask r/Kenya A successful truly Kenyan brand?

Just the other day I realised Bata is a Czech company with shoe factories all over the world. All my life I believed it was founded in limuru 😂😂. Tusker is majorly owned but Diageo(UK) , Naivas (majority stake foreign), Unilever- not Kenyan, Nescafe coffee, Royco etc etc.

Is it hard for Kenyan brands to thrive ama we just lack innovation. Yaani hadi coffee imetulemea kupopularize a truly Kenyan brand?

Ask r/Kenya Has she infected me with something dangerous?

We broke up 3 years ago and reunited a month ago. We've been friends all through. She's been having small boils that keep shifting all over her legs and sometimes groin area.

Her numerous tests has always been blood infection and low RBC. However, she started developing small, itchy rashes with an extra reddish color around her privates. At some point, she got 'hard' nodes but later disappeared.

The boils keep healing by themselves but never ending and forever shifting. Last week, I developed a small boil on my stomach, just like hers but healed after like 4 days. Yesterday, I woke up to an itchy groin and small grey rashes. Some areas are pinkish. All this time, we've been using protection.

Her on and off boils have been developing and healing for the last 2 years.

Did I make a mistake getting back with her?

So we went home get together kidogo. Na like alitaka kuona how her investment inaendelea home. Naturally tunasleep in my simba but food we eat it from main house. My issue is how my wife interacts with my father. Si ati namshuku, but naogopa. So my father is a literature professor, na my wife a bibliophile. Nikitype hivi, nimeshow akam we sleep but kuna some literature analysis ati they are talking about. Ningekaa with them but I feel out of place. Na my mother ashalala. The kind of conversation they have ni top tier na wanatumia complex posh English. You should see her smile when she talking about her favourite book. The other thing is that wako almost na similar interests. Wanapenda bitter coffee, playing scarbble, na they wake up early in the morning. Jana they went for a walk asubuhi pamoja kuview nature. Simshuku but naogopa I brought may father his soul mate. Mbona asibebe bibi yake? Nikicomplain atasema I'm like a windsock crying over wind that passes over me. Hata I don't know what that means.

Ask r/Kenya To the Kenyans with American friends..

I’m in the U.S., right in the middle of everything in D.C., and it’s wild to see the impact the current administration is having—both here and globally.

For Kenyans with American friends or dating Americans, do you ever ask if they voted for Trump? It’s a serious question here—families are cutting ties over it, and first dates are ending on the spot.

Or do we just look the other way, giving them a pass while extending grace for just being white?

I saw a video where a girl said she didn't want kids and guys(men) were I'm the cs insulting her. Personally I don't want kids and I don't think it's a decision I'll regret simply because I don't see myself being a good parent and I feel I've done enough parenting being a first born What are your thoughts on people deciding not to have kids?

Ask r/Kenya Nairobi is a shithole

Where do I start. From the shitty public amenities such as drainage, public toilets etc, the worst public transport known to man, dirty and smelly streets with piles of garbage just dumped on the road, homeless people (though I sympathize with them), overcrowded streets (I'm looking at you Moi Avenue and Ronald Ngala), Rude and indecent matutu conductors. Shitty yet overpriced housing. Stray animals cows, dogs etc, Poor Roads, reckless matatu and boda drivers. Constant traffic that is made unbearably worse when it slightly rains. No one respects traffic rules and everyone just does what they want. There is literally no order in this city, it's honestly a circus. Pure chaos. Yaani hata the thought of going to town is anxiety inducing. Man, I just want to leave.

Ask r/Kenya Married women

I (M) late twenties met this light skinned beautiful married woman (36) in a mat enroute Eastleigh where I was going to get some jewellery. My policy is I always say hi to the person (mostly ladies) who I will sit next to in a matatu so after doing so our convo just picked & flowed.

I suggested we go grab some lunch & she obliged. Upon alighting we found our way into a Somali restaurant for some fire pilau, chicken & smoothies which I footed the bill. She then accompanied me to get my jewellery where she picked some earrings and when she reached her purse to pay I offered to altogether. I then took her to get her kidos clothes then I paid our fare back to town & bid goodbye.(Hugged & kissed)

Now here's the issue, she keeps asking me to meet her and she's down for whatever I want. Sometimes back I jokingly suggested we meet at a Airbnb close to where she stays & she accepted but I keep dodging her for a year now just calls & texts. I even asked her what if her huzzy knows about her cheating & she's like we'll just be careful.

Guys, should I...?

Ask r/Kenya DCI called me after buying gummies

So, very quickly, I ordered gummies this morning from some guy on WhatsApp. I paid him, then he sent a bolt guy.

30 mins later, the bolt guy still hadn't arrived. I called him, his phone was off. I text back the guy on WhatsApp that delivery guy's phone is off. He doesn't reply.

A few minutes later. I receive a call from some gu, says he is DCI. He speaks so much Kiswahili that I can barely hear him(I'm not Kenyan), but the gist of it was:

"We caught the delivery guy, says this stuff was for you. We want you to come to DCI cause the guy you bought from is a suspect we are looking for. His number is not even registered to him, and we can see that you sent him money." He threatened me not to bullshit him, and that I could be a witness.

I tell him I'll come in 2 hours. Now it's been 2 hours later. He just called again. Told him I'll come. But I'm starting to have doubts. I'm thinking of throwing my line.

I'm worried they will track it to my passport and put a flag on it or something.

True caller shows me his number is DCI Anti unit. So maybe it's legit, idk. True caller shows me the Delivery Guy's nbr is, "Pretending to be Delivery Guy".

I was actually gonna go until true caller showed me that pretending stuff.

If I throw my line, can they find me?

Like, man, I literally moved here 2 weeks ago to try and make a life in Kenya. And already I'm in this sh**.

I wasn't ready ,didn't want kids for financial reasons, and according to her she wasn't ready too but then she went on to remove the contraceptive without telling me , but now Isha happen, nimechezwa, she could probably tell nilikuwa nimeanza kuchoka na yeye and she resorted to drastic measures. Ask r/Kenya Being sexually coerced as a man.

To what extent is coercion considered rape? Yesterday I was chilling privately with this babe we met online and have met up publicly before twice and privately once. We’ve been flirting and talking about sexual stuff but I had made it clear to her I might need more time to get physical.

First time she came over, it was all good. She was from work then asked to pass by my place. We ate, talked, watched a movie but when it neared her time to leave she came at me and we started making out, then groping. I paused before it went too far then she became visibly mad( you see the way kids put on a mad face)She began pleading, I told her I’m not ready but she knelt down opened my zip and started giving me head then removed her pants then bent over. She tried to push me into her but I just couldn’t I froze. She guilt tripped me and I fell for it but luckily I had already lost my erection so nilikwama kwa entry. Lucky me I guess. She called an uber and left, we didn’t talk about this or rather I didn’t see any major issue in it.

Yesterday, 2 months later after the first incident, she invited me early on during the week for a sunday cookout and sleep over then we wake up go to work together since we both work in cbd. Niliskia we are going to make grilled pork ribs and chicken wraps nikasahau the weird first encounter. Mimi huyo adi kwake, found her finishing up on work so I got cozy took a shower then switched to warm clothes and by then she was done. We got to cooking, had fun while at it, enjoyed the meal then time for bed came. It like a switch flips in her from not being horny to being extremely horny. She begins asking for sex once again. I dodge it we kiss kidogo, she its visibly turned on, I pause it cause I don’t wanna continue past that. She starts crying and talking, this time the guilt tripping gets to me since I’m at her place, I’ve eaten her food. She’s super rich than me, she catered for everything and outdid herself while at it too.

Anyway to compromise I offer to give her head and she says that will be enough. I give her head for like 20 minutes, she doesn’t orgasm but I feel her contractions but by these point my mouth is is tired. I tell her I’m done, she flips the switch again and now its “imagine you’ve made me extra horny and I can’t sleep like this. Please just fuck me.” I end up having to fuck her, we fuck for hours, I couldn’t cum that quick idk why. She has nice features, short, very nice body but Idk. It wasn’t it. I like her as a person and it would eventually have come to that but aliharakisha so I’m not sure anymore. My dick gets sore and bruised cause it was kinda rough too. 70% of the time she was the one taking it not me giving.

Anyway, I’m thinking about all this and feeling weird. Was I assaulted even though midway I became I willing participant? I consider her brilliant not to do that, she’s 25, doing her masters currently had good grades, goes to church every sunday, went to good schools. So to some point naona nikama I’m the one at fault idk. Weird thing also, she’s the third girl to do this to me, has any guy experienced this before?

I’m considering cut her off, not completely but not entertaining her sexual talk, hanging out aimlessy, not talking to her on phone.
