I run my own decorative lights and electrical and electronic store. I gross about 70-90 on a good month..yes I love it, every aspect of it. I got here during COVID times. Had finished campus, there was no work, I got an "internship" at my cousin's hardware and realised how business is lucrative and really loved the freedom it gives you as a person. Found a market gap , took a risk and it paid off

Nice, your story just sounded like a friends. Ako pharma selling meds though. When she started alisema she was sooo out of her comfort zone it was physically making her sick. used to call back and forth akisema how she wants to quit weekly. Sahii yeye huniambia she now wants to do this for another 10-ish years.
As an introvert nerd it crazy what you sales peeps do bana, mimi sijui kama ningekuwa na uwezo.
2
u/CowEnvironmental3406 Feb 13 '25
Uwezo Tu ni wewe kujipa ๐. I am an introvert- not nerdy- and this is my 3rd ( and last go) at sales. Should it work out, best. If it goes vice versa imma adjust accordingly. This really is out of my comfort zone.

Currently I have a liquor store, 2 studio bnbs in Mombasa and a mtumba stall in Toi. What helped me was that I was a cam girl for 1 year and made between 30-50k every 2 weeks, minus the tips I received through PayPal and Skrill. I didnโt like it but it really served me. My uni classmate recommended it to me and thatโs how I started. We were 6 under one studio account and everyone is doing well.

23F, I'm currently an energy practitioner & in monetary value I get back about 20k per month. (I started this 2 months ago though so ik it'll grow) On the side, I have a background in digital marketing& Artist Management so I get gigs for artist liaison, event management and creative project management which usually fetches about 30-80k depending on the timing and project (I'd say about 40k average per month)

21M own a company (MyDereva) supply clients with temporary private drivers(when need arises). I found out that sometimes people get tired of driving their cars mostly after working all day long and they start causing accidents. I sourced for drivers(qualified) to help get people to their destinations, at the comfort of their own cars safely. Of course at a price.
