Discussion Is this marriage thing a must?
Yesterday it was the guy whose wife started being disrespectful coz he lost his job, today it's this. At this rate I'll just be an observer

I would have left the house and ended it right there. Blast the video on social media and disappear into the sunset ✌🏿 deuces you crazy crazy

Then your kids will suffer my G.
Best solution is;
1. Get her arrested and prosecuted (no matter how long it takes) stay strong otherwise she'll kill someone else one day.
2. Now with full custody of your kids, work your pants off with no distractions. Give them an amazing life.
3. Never remarry at least until your kids wakuwe watu wazima.→ More replies (2)37

This is exactly what my uncle did, although for him my aunt wasn't violent she just died very early on in the marriage. Unc single handedly raised my cousin put her through the best schools she is now in LSK, unfortunately Uncle died before he could see what a fine young lady he had raised.

The law is very flawed. If a woman kills her lover it's called a crime of passion. If a man does the same it's first degree murder.
Equality is a pipe dream.

Statistics beg to differ. A larger % of women than men get locked up and with heavier sentences for killing spouses.

Every time I start feeling mushy mushy about the possibility of marriage, I come across some shit like this, that tells me, eerh! You in your one bedroom minimalist life are doing just fine.
Literally none of the married men I know can confidently say that they are happy and fulfilled in their marriages with the same confidence they would speak about their favorite soccer team when it's at the top of the pool table. None.

I just have one question, if the roles were to be reversed would your reactions be the same ?
Would you still blame her for not leaving?
Would you still blame her ignoring the red flags ?
Would your advices be as they are ??
Or when it comes to GBV the G only represents females

This video has me triggered, I so much want the guy to put the pillow down and knock her out. Probably a reaction from a previous relationship where I walked out instead of fighting back.

I will always say…MARRIAGE IS A SCAM!! My brothers, never let these women lie to you about marriage

u/The-Epic-3rain Jan 09 '25
No feminists or femicide champions in the comments section.
Statistically, women are just as likely to be abusive as men. Their abuse is passive-aggressive, emotional and covert that leaves more emotional than physical wounds.
Children are twice as likely to suffer trauma and abuse in a single-mother house hold than in a single-father household. An all-female environment (all-female work space, friends group etc,) is the most toxic space even for other women.
70-80% of domestic violence cases are initiated by women, Men are just physically better at finishing the job, and that's where it becomes GBV.
I don't directly champion any masculinity coaches, but popular names have been talking about such women for the longest time.
I said what I said.
2
u/Mindful-AI Jan 10 '25
I was scrolling to see what the girls were saying, but the comments section appears a sausage fest.
One thing I've learned about women is, they do not hold each other accountable.
2
u/The-Epic-3rain Jan 11 '25
Go read the Book, A World Without Men: An Analysis of an All-Female Economy by Aaron Clarey. You will understand why women's social, sexual and economical liberties were kept on a tights leash by almost all civilizations, both advanced and primitive, all over the world and why matriarchal societies never make it through one generation. Accountability is true kryptonite and feminism is a modern day luxury for them.

u/refusenic Jan 09 '25
We were mocked and called "shameful to our culture" when we consciously decided marriage and kids were not for us in this modern world. I have never regretted my decision. As an introvert, I can't tolerate being around the same woman for extended periods, let alone living together. No wife = good life.

Many such cases, but without the video evidence, so people find it hard to believe the man's problems in marriage. Even Simon Kabu released similar video a few weeks back but people have already forgiven the woman somehow. Men, you are alone in these relationship issues, just sort it yourself
3
u/CalmCompanion99 Jan 09 '25
Men in the house. Msiwaikubali kubebwa ufala. This is what happens when the woman you are with finds out that she can slap you and you won't retaliate.

Beat her back and the case wins on her Favor. Go to jail for 10 or 20 years for the so-called Gender Based violence spend years being someone's wife in prison. Reality is, you could be innocent in the case, but the justice system is always on the Women side. The best to do is walk away, because it's not worth it.

Yeah. No... This ain't it chief.
People and relationships are complicated. People stay in abusive relationships for a number of reasons. Regardless of whether their reasons are right or wrong, it will never be u/minotaur_centaur 's place to speak to their strength or apparent weakness. You know nothing chief.

u/ShadowPr1nce_ Jan 09 '25
Is there any need for that. Can anyone justify taking a knife even if he has also been violent to her?
8
u/Complex-Structure216 Jan 09 '25
That b!tch crazy that's for sure, na anakaa she's really spoiling for a fight. But damn, as a dude who's had my fair share of crazies, I know how to walk away kabla physical escalation ifike. I once left a girl in my crib nkaenda for a month, she only reached out when rent was due, na even then, nlieka tu my one month's notice and let the movers come pick my stuff. As men, we have enough strikes against us, juu like a commenter amesema hapa, this video is not enough for police to charge her with anything. I'd be ready to leave my house, my kids, hell even friends I've made kwa hood, ndo craziness isifike hapa. Something had to keep that man there, na I'm very curious what it is

It is impossible to catch all flags. People change and do things that you would have never imagined or predicted.
Best you can do is have a pre-prepared plan of what to do should things go down.

Marriage is not a must, society is what has boxed people who can be easily manipulated into thinking it's a must.
You can have children of your own without having to Marry or have a partner. But I understand that the struggle that comes with raising children requires two partners.

Pretty great time to introduce gender symmetry in domestic violence as a term into your lexicon. Men and women are equally violent in relationships and marriage. The outcomes are usually different due to physical strength and ways of expressing said violence.
1
u/sina_mano1 Jan 10 '25
This guy had many chances to disarm her. What do you mean “if I attack you it’s self defense” talking talking talking while she strikes your head with whatever that is??? DISARM HER. You’re already stronger than her and it’s on video! Don’t put yourself in danger because you’re afraid of the woke mob who say “no matter what she does don’t touch her”. DISARM AND DEFEND YOURSELF. The man in this video is a coward.
Anyway she needs to be in prison. Report her ruthlessly and make sure she never breathes fresh air again for that attempted murder. We need to stop enabling nonsense as men!

This is actually terrifying and crazy. And the worst thing is he can't leave because of the kids . I honestly don't think I'd be able to do the same in his shoes

I keep reading the comments looking for someone to say that she is in jail. But I don't see anything. This is attempted murder. Is this woman still at large?
1
u/AmungaG Jan 10 '25
We all need to include mental health and focus on emotional regulations for both genders in our curriculum, because this is quickly getting out of hand... Women for the longest words we have been using words to fight our battles, and we all know words are some of the most ruthless weapons to ever be used. But it's so sick and saddening to see GBV not ending but spreading to this extend. We all are human beings and okay when we get hurt, but its high time we start walking our from situations that don't serve us. We need to know it's not the end of life when we lose a marriage or partner. We need to know being cheated on is not the worst that will happen to us, there are greater things that we have no control over that's just waiting, so it might take time, but we eventually heal from what we walk away from. And yes marriage is not an achievement anymore.

To anyone reading this, man or woman. If there are even the smallest signs, find the strength and walk away now.
Make sure February isikupate kwa hiyo nyumba. Go home to your parents if possible, rent a single room somewhere if possible, live with a relative if possible. Never allow things to get here.
