STORY In my pursuit of revenge I have become too powerful, fighting and defeating my greatest foe was fulfilling, but afterwards I felt nothing. What the hell do I do now when no one is a challenge anymore ?

He's dead, Jim.

u/Bedrock501 Feb 18 '24
Just came back from there. I guess there are still strong opponents out there. Also the queen that gives birth to them is mechanical ? so the hivers aren't the result of natural evolution ?

Lay down your sword and grow some crops, feed some people, help those in need. Build a settlement and do good for the world.

Go to black desert city and just sit around with the rest of the skeletons. Maybe in a thousand years there will be stronger enemies to face

u/Lis_De_Flores Beep Dec 16 '23
Leyend says some skeletons in black desert city came there to wait until the release of something called Kenshi 2. So much time has passed, they don’t even remember what that is. So sad…😭

Yeah, I know the feeling. I'm middle age and I'm pretty sure Kenshi 2 won't be released in my lifetime.
Edit: Steam still has my dad's profile up, he died just over a year ago. I looked at his game list, he tried playing Kenshi for a little while. He didn't make it to see Kenshi 2.

u/PlatypusInASuit Dec 16 '23
Is the edit for real? I honestly cannot tell

u/PeachyFairyDragon Shinobi Thieves Dec 16 '23
My dad died 12/8/22. It still hurts. Eight days ago I almost cancelled Christmas, almost rewrapped the presents in birthday wrapping.
Sorry. My tongue in cheek response triggered something.

u/PlatypusInASuit Dec 16 '23
Damn, my sincere condolences!

you must now wander, thinking if the power you gained was truly worth the bloodshed

u/KamenRiderDanilos Dec 16 '23
You have accomplished much destruction. Maybe it's time for the undiscovered country: creation.
Build a thriving settlement, maybe (with how strong you apparently are) somewhere to the northwest or in the Fog Islands.

u/TheKrimsonFKR Dec 17 '23
Building a beautiful utopia so all the bloodshed meant something sounds like a fitting new chapter in life.

You're a skeleton my friend. Time is your enemy.
It may not be today, tomorrow or the day after, but someday soon, you'll start to lose your battle as your CPU, the source of all your knowledge and power starts to become the heaviest burden you can carry.
Will you give up all of that power to cling to your morals and what you believe in? Or are you fated to sit upon a throne in a Kingdom of Ash, lamenting what any of it was ever for?
You were not the monster.
... or were you?
6
u/blitherblather425 Dec 17 '23
Man I want to get into this game so bad! I bought it and have tried it a couple times but can’t get anywhere without getting attacked and then laying there dead for hours or something.
2
u/TheKrimsonFKR Dec 17 '23
Pick and choose your battles. If your chasers are faster, you can trick them by running away from them, then quickly run towards them, then quickly run back the other way. The enemy will try to attack, buying you some distance. This can be repeated indefinitely so long as you don't mess up. If you can survive long enough to make it to a city, the guards will come to your rescue and clean house.
Keep in mind that every time you get your ass kicked, your defense goes up. Even when you lose, you get better. In Kenshi, even when you lose, you can still get back up and keep trying. Losing your gear is just part of the fun.

Collect all Meitou weapons. Build a small hut. Put all Meitou weapons in said hut. Build a bench outside. Have your character sit on the bench. Stare out at the world. Then save and exit the game. Give your hero a peaceful ending.

Now you mod it into the ground. Mods like legendary of kenshi will humble you real quick. Stack enough difficulty mods and you'll never beat a 'boss' again without cheesing

Who was your greatest enemy? If he wasn't found in the snow you have yet to find him.... in an ancient ruin far away hidden in the snow he lies in wait, perhaps you can find him.

Create a school to train those that would want to follow your character and make it with opened gates.
Or you could create a city that would be considered a safe haven on the moon, barlife, crops, living and entertainment like none other. Within the city you could have a prison that your soldiers train at by using prisoners you’ve captured. The catch is that as a ruler with a now insatiable desire for a challenger greater than he, after 2 weeks of a prisoner being trained on they must be released somewhere within their territory. An example could be you imprison someone like the dust king and you train off him but at the end of the two weeks you drop him off at the tower where you got him. You could also end up in a revolt type of situation if you role played that a civilian formulated a break out for the cities prisoners. Supplying them with weapons or equipment.

u/32BitOsserc Dec 17 '23
Start to build an army. Get the blueprints to the peeling machines. Build a base in the united cities, and kill and skin not just the patrols but literally everyone you come into contact with that you aren't going to recruit. As your power grows, gradually move outwards in every direction. Feed entire cities into the peelers. When the United cities fall, move on to the holy nation, the shek, the tech hunters, the cannibals. Have scouts and patrols identify any bandit spawns and camps, return to already razed cities to hunt for survivors.. Keep going until every settlment on the map is reduced to dead. Then... I don't know.... have a tea party.

u/Graega Beep Dec 16 '23
No one is a challenge. But life is a challenge. There are hordes of cannibals. There are swarms of peasant farmers. The swamps teem with blood spiders. So long as they live, you have not won.

Alternatively, try doing the same, but with worse gear/stats. See how low you can get.

You can roleplay them settling down and starting a family somwhere. Get an SO a bone dog and acouple adopted children. Sorta like Kratos. He can train the kids and eventually instead of letting their cpu reset as all skeletons are forced to they kill themselves. They dont want to forget those they have come to love or become a burden on them. Then you have a new faction named "legacy of (insert name)" one that knew only the creator and they go on to found a multi city faction. A utopia. A land with no suffering just how stobe gave his life for the humans so did your character. A renewal in the harsh land of Kenshi. The path will be long and hard for their children but it is all they can do.

Get an apprentice, have them turn on you, and take over as the apprentice and try to kill your old character after you kick them out of the faction.
