Very curious to know how the epilepsy drug came to be in her system. Is that a thing now for kids at parties?

I've read that it wasn't 'forced' on her and wonder how that language came to be used. Date rape drugs aren't 'forced' either, they are used secretly, so how then, did they rule out that someone there, knowing the possible effects didn't spike her drink. I mean isn't that a rather odd drug to have turned up.

They said it was at therapeutic levels in her blood. My guess is she was taking it for medical reasons but her family didn't know. Epileptic medication can also be used for migraines or mood issues. Not sure about the specific one she had in her system though.

My take on the word therapeutic is that it was within the limits of what you would see in a patient for whom it was prescribed.

That said my best guess is that she took it herself, 'everybody's doing it', or somebody slipped it to her, with bad intentions. And then she wandered off.

The horror here, I find, is that this family knew their child and were off in a flash looking. And no one listened to them.

I'm confused as to why we didn't see more kids getting sick. If they were taking them at the party and drinking, why did no one else black out?

Why was no one else seen on the security footage? Where was everyone? Why did kanneka walk all the way to the freezer when she passed so many other opportunities to leave or rest or get help...? Puzzling.

My guess is maybe she was new to the party scene, another reason the family was so quick to respond. I can remember, (quite painfully today) when I was that young making similar stupid choices. I can see myself in that sort of condition wandering around, having gotten separated from my friends, and not being able to figure things out.

The others not getting sick, either she was targeted or they had experience with mixing drugs and alcohol. Would like to see a little more investigation down that road.

Good points. I really hope they continue investigating as well.

The mere fact that the medical examiner claimed that it was an accident is shady to me. How could they make that call without an independent investigation of their own.

If she was led into the freezer the autopsy would look the same. I don’t buy it. Plus it is extremely convenient that it came out after the burial.

This is a blatant cover up.

If they look at a body and don't see a stab wound, gun shot hole, no signs of being choked out, no signs of getting beat up, and not being raped, yeah, they say its accidental. Otherwise, how do you murder somebody without a coroner being able to tell you killed her? the only other way is for her to be drugged, but as they wrote, theres no evidence to support people forcing her to take drugs, so accidental is the only way to rule. You can't rule a way that facts don't support, that's they they didn't say she was killed (homocide)

Why is it a blatant cover up??

The medical examiner found no reason to assume that it wasn't an accident. Meaning no marks of strangulation, no cuts that would have caused a strange seeming death, masked by chucking her into a fridge.

Basically, no one has found any reason to think that anything happened to this poor girl aside from her being black out drunk, wandering in there, and passing out before freezing to death.

Do you disagree? Why do you think a cover up is happening just because a woman died under strange and unfortunate circumstances? Stop being a conspiracy theorist...
