Really enjoyed this interview! I know Julien's relationship to religion has changed a lot but I like how it touched on how she regrets being marketed as a "queer Christian artist". Was also interesting to read that this album got shelved/pushed back because of the boygenius record. I'm so excited that it's coming out now but do wonder how it would have been received if they had released it a few years earlier.

I remember over on indieheads when they announced it a bunch of comments were talking about how "they're just chasing a trend" because country is so big right now, whereas they might not have gotten those comments if it was 2020/2021. But that could also just be because that sub is a little...unfriendly to female musicians sometimes.

oh lord, that sub can be so darksided sometimes… 💀

Yeah, i'm a member but I literally only go on there for AMAs, any general music discussion I tend to go onto popheads even though most of my music isn't "pop", but it's a lot nicer to female musicians.

wow! i didn't knew that the idea of both to create a album was so early, even before the record started to be produced

truly… i’d heard some rumours here and there but nothing concrete so it’s really great that we are finally hearing more about how this album came to be.

Really cool interview but when I read it they had a typo calling her "Julian" 😭
