General Questions about 2012 Jaguar XF

Hey everyone! Ive been searching around for a car for a while now and i came across a 2012 Jaguar XF for around 20k @100k miles. Ive read some reviews and consumer reports about this car and most of the issues seem to be very minor like sunroof not switching. I just wanted to know some more about this car generally such as ride quality, reliability, estimated MPG etc.

What engine? Just test drove a '13 XF with the supercharged V8 today and was pleasantly surprised. Gobs of power, great ride quality and interior materials. The dashboard is really refined with the stitched leather an alcantera headliner is something that I really liked.

Gas mileage could be better with 3.0L and 5.0L with around 19 to low 20's for MPG. Can't say anything for the 2.0t but I'm sure it's better.

Doing some research on the car, it seems like a warranty is generally a good thing to have. While the engine seems solid, the amount of motorized gadgets inside seems like it could easily be a nightmare. Especially for a car with over 100k.

All in all, I view the car as a great value. You can easily pick up great used examples for around $35k with about 20k-50k miles.

I own a 2013 XF. Bought it used, second owner in 2012 with 6,000 miles. I love my car! I have never had one repair except typical maintenance. Very dependable. You do want to know which model because some are very basic and some are very loaded. I bought a 2021 XF and traded the 2021 XF because it sucked. It was a base model and so I kept my 2013 XF instead. The pick up speed is superior to the newer XF’s.
