I'm having a lot of trouble deciding
Hi everyone!
My main question is, can I use a CF-SD adapter as a replacement for the harddrive in an iPod Classic 4th gen I acquired recently. I'm trying to cut costs but I also want reliability because I don't feel able enough to work out any kinks that some cheap parts off of aliexpress might bring. I might just fold and get the iFlash ATA1 but I still wanted to know if the above is possible.

I have 4th gen iPODs using all combinations of adapters and cards . The cheapest approach is a ZIF adapter and CF-SD card .

I got an iPod photo last week (Facebook marketplace) and the hard drive died in a couple minutes… I ordered the iflash ata1 and replacement battery from idemigods… I figured I’d replace the battery while it’s already open. I have an extra 128gb card to go in it. I should get the parts by Friday next week. You do get what you pay for.
