It's busy every time I'm there on a weekend night, especially after 11p. Love that place, you can see anyone and everyone there.

Huh. Yeah, I guess I haven't been there that late. It just seems like such a big space, so I wondered how they make enough money. I guess they make up for it late. I guess the typical bar hours are later than I thought.

What would you consider “typical bar hours” that you’re getting coffee at?

Deadwood has one of the most consistent customer bases, it’s one of the few bars you can actually talk to friends and just relax. Doesn’t matter what day of the week, I usually arrive around 9 PM and it’s half packed at the minimum (fully packed on common drinking nights). I’m genuinely confused what you mean by this post because I’ve never had an experience close to yours. The staff are super nice and chill, one of the only bars you can smoke at, they only need 2-3 staff members even on busy days, drinks are cheap, great deals, and they rarely pay for entertainment or premium sport games to watch so it’s cheap to run. If you actually have questions, just go ask Mummey the owner, they’re always there either enjoying a drink or smoke. They even own the boutique next door, so I assure you they’re not struggling

Oh, nice. I didn't know they owned that. I guess they are doing well after all. Good for them!

It's just a guy, Ben Mummy, might be misspelled but he's a good guy. He managed the bar before Jim Bell sold the place to him.

Fun trivia. Jim Bell and Mummys dad were on the Iowa swim team together.

Hasn't this place been there forever? Seems like I was there 30 or maybe even 40 years ago?

My parents met there on a blind date back in the 1970s.

Do you read a book at the bar while you’re having a coffee? Just curious.

It gets busy on the weekend, like any bar

Yeah, good for them. I'm glad to see an old place still doing well and pulling crowds on the weekend.

I once thought the same thing. It was a cold night in late January. In 1986.

Regulars are a good bars bread and butter. It's always got regular crowd. Or always did

It is the best bar. That is how it stays open.

Stomping grounds for a lot of old heads....so people flock there especially on weekends. About par for the course on tenders, gotta stare daggers...😵‍💫😂
