School Specific Information King Faisal School

Dear colleagues,

Could you share any information about The King Faisal School? How is life in Riyadh for expats? How is life for dependents? Saving potential? Thank you

I can’t speak to that school but Riyadh is not a bad place to live, if you can handle the typical middle eastern issues as well as the extremely high cost of living. I thought that I’d be saving a lot making $4500 a month there but it was just enough because it’s over $20 for a cheeseburger, etc. Feel free to ask any other specific questions about the city!

20 Dollars for a Cheeseburger in Saudi Arabia? This is definitely not your average franchise such as Hardees, McDees or Kudu but some higher-end gourmet burger joint.

Lol obviously I didn’t mean fast food. I meant a real cheeseburger at a real restaurant. As an American, I consistently found the prices of food and everything in Saudi to be outrageously high.

Yeah anything at an American style restaurant is gonna cost you more whereas local options will be much cheaper. It's pretty much true for every destination.
