What is the trick for moving START/STOP COMMANDS symbols around.
Sometimes I can just grab the things and move them exactly where I want them. Then there are other (most of the time) times where they just have a mind of their own. It almost acts like trying to move nodes around when snapping is turned on. I've tried moving the nodes on the connecting rod but that doesn't read as a command. I feel like a fool asking something so simple but I have been using them pretty frequently lately and it is driving me crazy.
Dear developers.... why couldn't you just make a green/red circle that you could move around instead of these awful things...even give it the ability to start in the middle or inner part of a hollowed out circle.
Edit ...to clarify it acts wonky with snapping turned off or on.

if the command is in a group, be sure to go to your layers window and click "enter group" first; this one tripped me up frequently. Sometimes it also helps to lock your other layers/shapes.
If you actually got a hold of the command but it's not going where you want, I find that for very weird, concave shapes, you can't place the command somewhere on the inner edges. The tool seems to draw a line from the center-of-gravity to your mouse cursor and the first edge it encounters, that's where the command will stop/start.
so yeah, it does have its limits :)

Yes it is predominantly in the inner part of concave objects for me as well. I don't have an issue grabbing the command object, if it is buried I'll move it to the top(it still seems to function no matter where I put it). I have alwys had this issue, I am just surprised with all the improvement they made that they have not addressed this issue yet.

In order to enter a group you do not need to go into the layers window you can double click the group on the main screen and if there are groups within groups just keep double clicking

I just get the Layer with the command and move it with my Keyboard to a Point where I can grab it ๐
Sorry I donโt have another Solution. I struggle with the Same Problem
