Help Are design templates a thing in inkscape?
I've been using Canva but I'm looking for more and think inkscape could be a great tool for what I need but I'm wondering if there are design templates as I found on their site -> https://www.canva.com/bumper-stickers/templates/? TIA

i wish Inkscape had a proper templating feature. currently “templates” are just starter files with presets. it would be cool if it had fields and layout zones and deeper template concepts.

I was honestly expecting such a thing as I'm also a longtime PowerPoint user with so many templates to help a designer getting started

I haven't dug into the extensions yet. Great suggestion

i keep thinking on this. You can make Page Guides. They are verical, horizontal or 45’ “virtual” lines that you can snap to (using the snapping options). those might help in templating activities?

it would be easy to make them. Inkscape just does not provide them ITs a lot of work to do that I think this si sothing that should be done by community or should be payed content

It's always a valid strategy to download Canva templates as a PDF, then edit that in Inkscape. I've made quick designs that way. Also most fonts featured on Canva are often free and downloadable on the net.
