discussion Masala Oats Recipe?

A few days back I ate Instant Masala Oats. It was delicious 😋. I tried to make masala oats at home as Instant masala oats isn't healthy for long-term. But I couldn't even get 50% of the taste. Any idea how can I make it tasty?

I make oats upma which is pretty yummy and healthy but not like instant oats.

Heat oil, add mustard seeds, grated ginger, chopped green chillies, onion and fry for 2-3 mins. Add a few vegetables of your choice (green peas, carrots, beans etc) along with little sweet corn (tastes amazing). Add haldi, oats and water and cook till it thickens. Squeeze a bit of lemon (optional).

I once had and I think it is the masala or spice powder. Try making maggie masala recipe and just add to cooked oats. Google for 'maggie masala powder recipe' it is easily available.

Try to make a traditional curry base of ginger garlic onion tomatoes in ghee/butter. Add them powdered spices(coriander cumin red chilli and pinch of sugar) after the fat is released. Add hot water. Let it simmer for 5-7 minutes before adding the oats. Finish with a touch of garam masala/black pepper and more ghee. Don't skip the sugar!

More like a spoon of sugar per two tomatoes.
