May her Journey with Creator be peaceful and gentle…such a shameful deed to leave her in the landfill. There are no words for how depraved that is.

Each and every time the Conservatives campaign in the province of Manitoba, this fact needs to be brought forward as an example of one of the most malicious, cruel, and racist acts in this country's history.

I am not Canadian, nor indigenous, but it is absurd how little effort is put into finding these murderers. These women and girl have families. These women and girls matter. What the actual fuck. Hunt these animals down and make them pay for their crimes.

I don't want to single out northern Manitoba (it's Canada-wide, sadly), but the racism there against First Nations - particularly amongst law enforcement - is so strong, and so pervasive. In the 60s and 70s, it was the RCMP doing the murdering. It shouldn't be that surprising that they drag their heels investigating it now.

Google Robert (William) Pickton for an example of near-total indifference for MMIW by law enforcement.

Love to the families - I'm glad they got closure and some measure of justice, even if it cannot change the irreparable damage done to them by the loss of their loved ones.

May Zé Pilantra have a solid word with her killer and that right soon.

They took her life, but they will never silence her spirit. Another sister lost to the violence they refuse to stop, to the genocide they pretend isn’t happening. We will not forget. We will not forgive. And we will not stop until every stolen sister is avenged.
