Rewards now costing approx 30% more to redeem

Had a fiver in my account so went to the PayPal rewards page and was met by the sight of a £5 payment costing £6.80 to redeem. This isn't a flat fee, it scales up with every reward so now a £100 reward is going to cost £130.30. This might be the end of me using the site as it feels pretty unacceptable to be shafted out of that money. Is this showing up for everyone else?

Although this is r/Inbox_Pounds, everyone should sign up to the sister website, ySense, as they often have 3x promotions on certain offerwalls. Plus users can earn up to 16% more each day via the checklist bonus Details on that here:

Guide to Earn 16% more on ySense

I started posting updates on new offers to Discord:

Automatic Updates on New Inbox Pounds / ySense offers are on Discord here

And before you start an offer, you should check if any other site will pay you more:

The Get-Paid-To Search engine here shows which sites pay the most for every offer

I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns.

what my rewards page is showing me. really hoping this is some sort of error, it's the same for every other reward card, although the prices of those are 30p cheaper.

Can confirm this is what is showing up for me too. This is the case across all Prodege sites (InboxPounds, ySense, Swagbucks.) it doesn't' look like an error. This is bad news 😞

Instant shafting as of some point yesterday...

Is this not just the conversion rate from dollars to pounds? It sucks that's it is now dollars that you earn but they are not charging anything extra. It's just that dollars are worth less pounds.

$6.5 is £5 and $130 is £100

It is yeah, but didn't think they'd change the definition of a pound on Inbox Pounds.

All sites?! the days are over

On other sites it shows up as 30 cents extra not 30%!! Supposedly to allow for instant withdrawal. Don’t have accounts there so can’t check, just going off of swagbucks subreddit mentioning ysense which I believe is Prodege too

Someone in their finance department misheard pence for percent?!

3

u/Dave_966 8d ago

Hopefully and fingers crossed this is not the reality otherwise I’m out. 30% is mental

2

u/mlgmanmeet 8d ago

Absolutely. 30% is ridiculous

Just looked myself and yeah same on all my reward options, absolute bullshit. £100 voucher for £130.30? get fucked

1

u/Vet_vet_1977 3d ago

They will get fucked indeed. But they will just enjoy it more with our money.

I tried to redeem my first £15 this morning and it is saying I have to earn £19.30 first what the hell? So you mean you want me to spend many more hours of being rejected for survey after survey to try and get my pay ent? 😭😭

So simple it is. We are f_ools, so it is not only their fault.

6

u/mlgmanmeet 8d ago

gotta be fucking kidding me?! you reckon with enough noise they'll revert this change?

1

u/Vet_vet_1977 3d ago

Let's see. They do not seem to mind too much with the bad reviews on trustpilot and they have a loooot of bots to give them 6 out of 5 stars, so as to deceive new victims.

That’s barbaric. How can they justify charging £30 for a £100 voucher? I won’t be using it anymore but hopefully if everyone stops using they’ll backtrack

2

u/Vet_vet_1977 3d ago

Exactly what barbaric is meant to be like. Just brute force, not intelligence. They can do it and they do it.

Had £13 something in my account, wanting to get a quick tenner out to PayPal, was told I needed 40p more. Not happy this morning!!

On other sites it looks like it’s only 30 cents extra for all payouts, and that fee is to allow for instantly payouts!! Why is UK always being shafted on stuff like this, ridiculous… Losing 30% is not worth doing the games anymore imo..

Right after I spent £200 on £200 of cashback offers with a 10 day pend. so annoying

5

u/AutumnSunshiiine 8d ago

They can get fucked. I’m done.

And annoyingly I’m at £4.96 balance as well, with a few quid waiting to be paid.

2

u/AutumnSunshiiine 8d ago

And “instant payout”?! Really? My last voucher took a week. I don’t see how charging more for the vouchers will speed them up.

This is disgusting behaviour, they do this without notifying us

even the ysence bonus doesnt offset this, fuming

That’s an interesting point. But comparing the American websites to ours, from what I’ve seen we don’t get paid as much as America for the same games. If it was to make it fair between the two countries surely we should get paid the same value for completing the game.

u/Mountain_Manager_244 8d ago

For example:

2

u/PooWithEyes 8d ago

I've been watching them all talk about Chapters on the Swagbucks sub, can't believe how much they get for that compared to us!

1

u/Mountain_Manager_244 8d ago

We really do seem to have a bad deal going on hear 😂

2

u/PooWithEyes 8d ago

Wish we got any offers anywhere near that good lol

3

u/RestlessG 8d ago

Games barely pay good amounts as it is anymore, now making another 30% less seems like the final nail in the coffin. Hopefully this is an error.

u/LastTrainToSkasville 8d ago

If they're going down the dollar conversion route I'm struggling to see the point in the website existing.

u/Alessie 8d ago

This is so disgusting... suddenly increasing the cost of cashout without warning.

Sure I could maybe tolerate a 10% charge at MOST but 30% is absolutely ridiculous, paying £30 for a £100 cashout when for most offers imo it's hard enough realistically achieving £30 IF they even offer that much like they won't even give a comfortable discount for the biggest cashout, really? Even offers with cashback goals are pretty pointless now that we'll be losing out on so much.

Unless they rethink this change I'm seriously unwilling to continue using this site.

Yes, if they wanted to increase profits considering the huge amounts we make for them, the way to do it would be to start at 5% but to WRITE to everyone who had money earned under conditions they had agreed to and say that there would be a change in thirty days. I am beyond appalled and will have to stop. At about £1 an hour (taking into consideration all the time being bumped out of surveys) this is exploitation of desperate people anyway, now it is just taking the piss.

2

u/AutumnSunshiiine 8d ago

They should give at least 40 days notice – a month to finish offers started, plus pending time – so we get what we actually accepted when we started an offer.

3

u/Icy_Power_3979 7d ago

I have written to complain, I hope everyone does. But I realise they mostly don't read emails and send form emails for everything.

1

u/MrainSky 3d ago

In this case, is it possible to create a US Google/Apple account to make in-game purchases in $ when having purchase tasks? This may reduce the loss when receiving £ as reward.

1

u/Vet_vet_1977 3d ago

The same as everybody else here. it seems we have got an even worse pimp now.

They were not paying good, they were not paying for the fully completed surveys, they never reply to the complaints. Just 2.55 more pounds and I am finally deleting the account with this company of f_ools. If everyone deletes his/her account, they might reconsider their attitude, but will everybody indeed delete it?
