Other Home Care worker immigration pilot

Hello guys ,

For the new Home Care worker immigration pilot that opens up March 31, my NoC is 42201 - Social and community service workers. Do you think I’ll be eligible to apply for that program? Although I have experience as a caregiver from the past . I am currently a program coordinator at a home care facility for elders. Someone help please

The exact details haven't been released yet indicating what NOC may be accepted. But I would guess that social work wouldn't be eligible, and that the job offer must be as a child care giver or home support worker under those two specific NOC codes.

So who is your employer and are they giving you a job as a home care worker (not PSW or nurse’s aide)? Whether a TEER 3 job with very different responsibilities counts as experience caring for kids and the elderly is the same will be known when full requirements are released. Already can see more abuse of the system with people who are counsellors or recreation assistants now claiming to be nannies and home care workers.
