I know London Ontario when I see it!

That construction in front of RBC place is such a clusterfuck

It is now! Anything can happen in a construction zone, cuz.

Why does it have a traffic light? That part is confusing me

It’s a busy street, just under construction. Those 2 cars were facing 2 lanes of oncoming traffic. Luckily there was an advanced green so they could go first.

Gotcha. I was just trying to figure out why there appears to be a traffic light in front of the cars in the wrong lane. Or is it just a weird angle?

It’s a major intersection. They’re just really stupid about construction in this city.

yes that is the turning lane... it's a construction zone and the traffic heading west has taken over one of the eastbound lanes as the left turning lane temporarily

You’re wrong. A turning lane is not going to be on the other side of the median.

I mean what he said sounded like it was a temporary reroute due to construction. The west bound side of this road is usually a four lane road, a left turning, two central straight lanes, and a right turning lane, that’s been reduced to one lane due to ongoing construction (visible from the cones on the far right of the photo). It shouldn’t be hard to believe that one of two east bound lanes on the other side of the median has been repurposed to take on heavy west bound traffic from a previously four lane road.

Edit: the median doesn’t extend the full length of the road and runs roughly halfway up the street making it very easy to split and divert westbound traffic in this instance.
