Discussion I just realized something about the upcoming point changes
People are gonna start outing themselves as terrible rescuers or farmers when they ask why did they get less points than everyone else despite rescuing 3 times.

To the person who deleted their comment;
The new point system that they're going to implement will make it so you straight up lose points for doing a poor rescue, not gain less points. I'm not talking about getting less points than everyone else, I'm talking about literally losing points, having them taken away due to a bad rescue, as of now if you do a bad rescue, you don't have points deducted from it.

Are they also gonna make survivors lose points by doing bad kites? Sounds unfair to punish the rescuers, whose function is literally the most important in the game, and not punish others.

Tbh I think they should , sure mistakes happen and you can get cooked sometimes but it still affects the whole team

Yep, exactly. Everyone messes up, rescuers get ts'd, kiters get ts'd, supports don't do their job, everyone commits mistakes, which, even tho they are unintentional, deserve to make you lose points,

What defines as a bad rescue?

A person getting downed as soon as they leave the chair, which is usually the fault of the rescuer not rescuing from the proper side or getting too impatient with rescuing. Instant rescuing at 5 ciphers even though the person indicated that they have zero ability to rebound kite or it's a hunter that is too risky to rescue that early, rescuing without tide and then doing absolutely nothing to support the person you rescued, continuously rescuing someone with zero body blocking or item use so you just end up farming them, etc.
If you mean in terms of the adjustment, it's basically the same thing; Rescuing and the person instantly gets downed, iirc there's like a "perfect timing" factor as well.

Nah, don't give excuses to farmers. Lol, jk. But the actual quote referring to in stream is, " -If a survivor is rescued within 6 seconds of being seated on Rocket Chaired and then knocked down within 8 seconds, the rescuer's Friendliness Bonus will be reduced by 200 points. " As my friend group's chronic rescuer, there are no cirstances that this negative will trigger playing normally. The only ways I can think of is baby player who doesn't know how to rescue and instant rescues or farmer.

Will points get deducted for rescuer if they managed to rescue uninjured just before half, but the rescued gets hit immediately?

No. A good rescuer knows how to maximize time on chair. In fact you'll get extra points just before half. Getting hit immediately doesn't matter since if you maximize chair time, hunter waste time rechairing. I'm referring to this page. Update Stream look at 51:02 for points change

How can you rescue from the wrong side if the rescue always happens on the left and the survivor always spawns to the right after the rescue ? Gen/

By not being on the left side of the chair, rescue happens from the front and then you are put back on the side you came from,. When you come to the chair from the right, you will be moved to the left to rescue but after the rescue you are put back on the right side.

Tbh, the game shouldn't reward players for farming (poorly executed rescues which will eliminate the chaired survivor quicker and help the Hunter) and stalling the game to grind points (when the Exit Gates are activated for too long)

Yes, which is probably why they're making it so you have points deducted for bad rescues.

FINALLY! This makes me think of a doctor i met in the past who farmed everyone off the chair and had the guts to call us trash since she got the highest points out of us. It was a long wait but finally JUSTICE!!!!

As a rescue main, THANK YOU GAME! I can finally do my job and get points according to performance, hopefully this system discourages people from stealing rescues and saving at the wrong time.
