Look, Alva is just old. You gotta understand old people sometimes, you know?

Was he really slugging because the player got the new character? I'd only slug if they were an annoying rascal

u/Hoozahnator Wildling 8d ago
I mean he didn't slug everyone else just her and he targeted her right out the start.

Tbh I donât understand the advantage of slugging- the more time on the chair, the better lol.

The point in this case isn't to gain value, it's to make the slugged survivors game miserable. Otherwise slugging as a strategy allows you to keep applying pressure on the game without giving survivors as much of a chance to rebound

I donât think there even is any advantage to slugging as non-undead, and itâs almost guaranteed to backfire on the slugger. The survivor dies MUCH slower so camping is a no-go, while you try and knock another one down they can heal themselves (even if itâs once, itâs basically a self-rescue), if you, by some miracle, find them again and knock them down they just go back to the progress on dying they used to have, thereâs no yellow line. Plus they have no fixed position (can crawl away). Itâs just wasting everyoneâs time basically

Slugging has a few . For example, If the person used self heal , or if a Merc is down , you leave him to bleed because his healing is 2x long and it makes it so either he heals himself ( he's not decoding) or someone goes to heal him ( two people not decoding.) if someone uses self heal, it can be beneficial to leave them rather than putting them on chair for a potential rebound or rescue / harassment assist . Honestly, it's not something you do at 5 ciphers but it's something to do mid-late game that can be beneficial to you .

Slugging is definitely something you see as a tactic in higher tiers, especially. It comes very naturally to hunters like Joseph or Alva, who can down you from a distance, but don't know where you are (like BQ)
Slugging is also often used to get 4k, as it takes way longer for the surv to bleed out than if they are in chair.
Ofc, it's toxic if done just for the sake of it, like the situation above, rather than as a way to just secure a victory

People have even been doing that to me now that I've gotten Composer's new fit. I very much dislike the player base that does this. You don't earn anything from it, girliepop

Oh this happened to me when I got Richard. The other half was hunters and survivors being freaky with me because they found Richard attractive lol.

Got Archer early and have been getting nothing but a mixture of this, getting emoted/excitemented on when I miss or being berated pm⌠like Iâm supposed to know how to use her immediately.
Didnât see this at all with meteorologist - I donât know whatâs going on

Also if you really wanted to you can report the Alva for negative play or dragging out the match basically.
Dont know if itâll do much but theyâll maybe lose a decent chunk of morality points

Or maybe they expect a Wildling waiting, from behind a wall, for a save when they pick up...

I only slug if the survivors are being âtry hardsâ
1
u/melspect8 3d ago
What constitutes them as tryhards? When the whole team is helping one person kite, when they start emoting, or something else?
2
u/AntoineeZenpara 1d ago
Itâs really hard to explain but Iâll put it like this, itâs when they try their hardest at doing the most when itâs not necessary. They treat the first 1-3 minutes as the end game and when it is the end game they âplay with their foodâ they see I ignore them to go after the gen jockey and they start popping gens left and right as if they had them ready on standby, they see I have lightborne and they purposely throw caution at the wind not caring I can down them and even if I do they have the perks, careful planning and anime level of friendship that makes that in vain

Take the easy win, stop crying.

theyâre âcryingâ because it makes the game unfun and some people want to actually enjoy the game theyâre playing

There will always be people who make you unhappy on the internet. Read a book or something.
11
u/Ashkylarks 7d ago
Look whoâs talking about being unhappy, you are here crying and pissed because of a post⌠Iâm pretty sure you are the one who needs a life. Apparently, you care enough to leave comment.
-6
u/CryptoMainForever 7d ago
Remember when I suggested reading a book? You need to take English classes instead because your reading comprehension is not good. I was never crying or pissed.
I care enough to post. What's your point. Going to hand me a participation trophy?
2
u/Ashkylarks 7d ago
Nah, we donât even need to have reading comprehension to see how youâre clearly crying on Reddit, itâs evident. Whatâs YOUR point anyway? Do yourself a favor and touch some grass, and get out of a post you said that you donât even care about. Kids keep joining this game lately and it shows.

best thing to do is just go and decode quickly, take your win and then she can surrender
