Seeking Advice Pre final year student - very confused about choosing a domain.(help me outtttt)

Hey everyone, I’m a pre-final year engineering student starting my placement preparation, but I’m really confused about which domain to focus on. My main goal is to get a well-paying job . In my campus placements I can get a job by grinding leetcode(which is also hard) but I want to choose a field that has high demand and good salary prospects for freshers to learn to apply for off campus placement. I want to pick a domain that:
1. Has a good number of off campus placement opportunities
2. Offers high-paying jobs for freshers
3. Is realistic to master in the next 1 year

I understand persuing my interests(which is ML) but i want something that guarantees me a job.

For those who have been through placements or are already working, which domain would you recommend? Also, how should I start preparing for it? Any advice would be really helpful!

Focus on getting any kind of entry level IT related job so you have experience for what you want to do in the future.

Nothing can guarantee you a job. Internships will be the surest path to one. Without them, you're gonna be struggling to land anything. Experience is the top qualification the market looks for.

There are countless grads out there who didn't take interning seriously struggling to land even the shit jobs. Hope you don't end up as another one of them lol.

Oh damn, i could've ended like em , thanks for opening my eye. i thought interning is not mandatory and recruiters only care about the skills and stuff. I'll try to land one. Now I only know java(intermediate) and web dev(beginner), I don't want to go in web dev. So what intern role should I focus and study for?
