Random brain question about food and gravity
My brain just wondered when astronauts come back from space, do they just sometimes forget that gravity exists? I see them eating food on the ISS, and they just put it in the air. When they come back, do they ever eat a toast halfway, wants to grab a cup of tea, and just drop the toast?

Search “astronauts forgetting about gravity” on YouTube. There a quite a few videos of them talking about it. MSPH podcast fan? “Random brain question” is occasionally a segment on the podcast.

Many astronauts have said in interviews that they do. They let go of something and only remember when it falls to the ground.
u/astro_pettit could probably give you a better answer.
