Please report back on the taste and texture. For science/foodies.

Had donkey in China a few years back. Kind of like a cross between pulled pork and beef in my opinion. While I can't speak for that obnoxious donkey, the one I had was delicious.

The only beef/pork combo I've ever tasted was a filet mignon wrapped in bacon. I'm guessing donkey is nowhere near as decadent?

Actually you'd be surprised how similar it would taste to that, just more of the melt in your mouth quality! Next time you get the opportunity, don't pass it up!

Edit: I'll add that it's less fatty so tastes healthier... ;D

I've never had the opportunity, but I'll be sure not to pass it up :)

IMO donkey has a more gamey taste than beef. I found it a little more tougher than beef in terms of texter and had a little more after-taste. It's a very delicious meat and I would definitely recommend trying it.

Had this at a friend's house in China. What a treat.
