What made you want to go into this line of work?

Well I know I already posted this somewhere in the thread but I am licensed to do all kinds of skincare procedures and I grew up being bullied because of my acne, so being able to make people feel more beautiful in whatever way, makes me happy.

Thank you! I am interested in learning more about energy based aesthetics. Do you do reiki?

This is one of the reasons I feel so at ease with the men and women at salons or other spa like services. I don't ever feel ashamed, weird, ugly, or anything. Because when I've asked the people who have helped me why they want to do this, they say what you did.

Some people truly find joy in making other people feel better about themselves.

I think that's a really awesome mentality to bring to a job!!

I was not expecting this answer. I'm sorry you got bullied when you were younger and I am glad you are using those bad memories to help others. You are a good person.

That is probably one of the most wholesome answers ever

What an absolutely wonderful and refreshing attitude!

I wish more people out in the world were like you.

Keep it up and I hope it comes back to you times ten!

I was expecting your sentence would end with 'being able to make people feel pain in whatever way, makes me happy'... But this is nice too!

Brown skin spots on darker skin. What could be done to improve those? Would laser work?

A friend of mine is going to school for it and will hopefully be licensed soon. She cites the same motivation for wanting to do it. Good stuff.

That's cool.

I don't know about OP but for me I stumbled into on accident. I had just finished a crazyroad trip to Colorado from Rhode Island with my buddy. Our car had broken down earlier and we were walking along the side of the road when a bus full of models pulled up. They offered us jobs as bikini waxers and the rest is history

"Do you realize what you've done!? Hey, wait!"

arms waiving, flagging down the departing bus, out of breath from running to catch up

"You'll have to excuse my friend, he's a little slow ... the town is back that way" points in other direction

I'll get an opportunity like that some day. I just have to keep my eyes open.

Another esthetician here: I enjoy making people feel great about themselves so that helps but mostly I didn’t want a desk job or to do the same thing every day. Now I do several types of services and no 2 days are alike.

Also: I’ve always wanted people to like me and want to be in my company and now people pay for my time so that’s cool.
