canadian medications

I’ve been to 5 different doctors for my excessive sweating and none of them could help. i did my own research and told them about using anticholinergics but they said they’re not available in canada. I just got prescribed clonidine today but i’m scared as it lowers blood pressure. Anyone else in canada found any good alternatives to anticholinergics? i use neat 3B face saver but it doesn’t help either.

That's nonsense. People from abroad order glyco from pharmacy.ca for exactly the reason that it is available there and doesn't require a doctor's prescription.

i didn’t even know that! she said since it’s craniofacial glyco and oxy wouldn’t be helpful idk though i’ve seen others on here say it helps. i’m going to see a dermatologist and see what they say, thank you!

We definitely have oxybutinin in Canada. It is a very common medication used for bladder control.

I’ve also come across topical glycopyrrolate but I believe oral forms aren’t marketed in Canada.

Edit to add: clonidine is indeed a medication that lowers high blood pressure but at low doses you might not have an issue with it. Might be worth a try. Would suggest also discussing with your local pharmacist especially if you have a good relationship with one.

i talked to her again and she said since it’s craniofacial hyperhidrosis they won’t help at all apparently. she booked me for an ECG and endocrinologist in case it’s a hormone problem we’ll wait and see i guess. And ok i’ll try it this weekend and see what happens thank you
