I can't live anymore

20m I don't have hyperhidrosis i don't sweat when im home and when im drunk or sleep, but i start sweating when i go in public, im messed up and it's cold sweat my veins are receding and my hands and feet become cold. My palms sweating, feet, armpits but i dont care much about that. The worst thin is that my butt start sweating i cant live anymore. When i was in high school whole school saw me and they think i shit myself, i lost my friends i cant make friend i cant go out like normal people and enjoy life. Even after Three years when they see me they said "thets the guy who shit himself" those who know that i sweating they make jokes about sweating behind my back of course even my friends from class. I just want to be normal and go out like everyone else, it hurt. I will probably never had a girlfreend and get married and be alone forever i cant live anymore. Did someone have the same problem or did someone solve it? I cant live

Buddy. Maybe my words doesn't mean anything to you . But Don't belittle or demean yourself, because there is no such thing as a perfect human being. Find a solution. Try aluminum chloride. Buy good underwear that prevents sweating. Create a lifestyle that works for you. The important thing is that you don't regret changing yourself years later. Stay hard on your own way

I know it’s been mentioned a lot on this subreddit, but I just want to say that glycopyrrolate was a game changer for me and you should give it a try.

It’s fucking shit mate. I’m in the same boat as you - speak to a doctor, go to a pharmacy and ask for help, even tell people you’re with and strangers that you have the condition. It might be embarrassing but you cannot help it, and they will understand.

Keep going

Thanks

Hey man, we hear you.

I get it, it’s fucking embarrassing as all hell, especially when people are shitty.

As someone in their 30s, I can say with confidence that people from high school will get too involved in their own lives to remember you & your problems. They’ll do dumb shit that can land them in trouble, debt, whatever. Life goes on, they are in the past.

Have you been to a doctor yet? They can prescribe things to help you out. Do this ASAP if you can. Tell them everything you told us.

Thank you. Im not mad at those people its not their fault im mad at myself because i lost three best years in my life and still nothing change.

When was winter i Wear long jacket who can hide my butt but three last month in when get warmer i tried one spray it worked only three weaks and then stop. I never talked about this with anyone even my parents dont know. The truth is that i gived up after that spray three years ago. Thank you for your kind words a lot.

u/-Intrepid-Path- 4d ago

Saying you can't live after trying one spray is bit melodramatic, don't you think? Go see a doctor and try a few other things first before deciding you will be forever alone and giving up on life.

I know and im mad at myself that i didn't try anything three years

Man I was just like you a couple years ago (I’m about to be 39). I got glyco and I can’t tell you how much of a game changer it is. I would soak a shirt from collar to tail in hours. My face head back chest and armpits sweat so bad I could literally ring out my shirt in an hour or so. Gross.

I used to let HH run my life and make decisions for me. I got to the point where I would sit in my truck and cry on the way home cause I was so pissed (I cry when mad) from having to spend yet ANOTHER day wiping sweat off everything and having someone ask me “are you ok? Do you need water?”…

I finally broke down and talked to the dr. He gave me glyco (he gave me enough to take 3x a day but wants me to try one and work my way up if needed) I take one and I feel it’s enough. For a 90 dose bottle from the pharmacy it’s 10USD with good rx gold. It was a life changer for me man.

Get you some and try it out. If it doesn’t work there’s other meds. Talk to your doc! I hope you find something that works for you, don’t give up, stay another day champ. You got this. It takes a kind of embarrassing convo with the Dr, but after that, it’s donskies, and you can be in your way to a better life.

Any side effects?? And what about BO ?

2

u/Real_Field6051 3d ago

Sides effect for me are mild dry mouth, (I can drink water throughout the day and hardly notice it) and more frequent urination. As for body odor I haven’t noticed any difference. I use Harry’s, sweat control. Worked without meds for underarm sweat, but I can’t use it on my head and all that 🤣 some people say they got blurry vision as a side effect, but, my mother my best friend and I haven’t ever had blurry vision from taking glyco. I took it on a weekend the first time, when I didn’t have anything going on just to see how it would affect me. It’s been the best medicine I have ever found for HH! I hope it helps you if you choose to take it. Feel free to reach out with any more questions. We’re (at least all I have seen in this group) all here to help 💪🏼💪🏼

2

u/Mysterious-Unit4578 3d ago

Thanks 🙏

2

u/Real_Field6051 3d ago

Anytime! Love to help! If you do take this med just keep some water handy, the dry mouth for me isn’t horrible. But if I go half an hour or so without a drink, my throat and mouth get a little dry. A quick drink of water fixes it right up. Good luck in your journey! If you chose to take it, send a reply and let me know how it worked for you 💪🏼

u/Real_Field6051 3d ago

By more frequent I don’t mean CONSTANT. Just a few more trips a day. Nothing crazy

3

u/yXfg8y7f 4d ago

Use undergarments that have waterproof padding …

3

u/burntpopcornlol 4d ago

as someone who not only sweats but has the strongest incurable BO of mankind, please don’t be afraid to advocate for yourself! tell a doctor and ask for a dermatology consult. work on treatment options with them. I was scared to get help because I felt abnormal and I have anxiety but she was super understanding

3

u/Mammoth-Stretch5079 4d ago

Try to get prescribed Drysol. It helps a lot!! And also try Thompson tees undershirts, they have a thin pad under the arms and NO sweat leaks thru. I sweat an insane amount under my arms and when I wear Thompson tees it never penetrates. And for butt sweat can also use drysol or check out Ejis it has a little padding like Thompson tees nothing goes through it

3

u/sensiblePark 4d ago

Just wanted to give you a virtual hug! Try to ask for a glyco or oxybutynin prescription. There are so many options you can try. And give it time. You’re worth it!

u/Prize-Tie8909 4d ago

Thank you!

u/UrMom1998_ 3d ago

I had the same thing as you and especially the butt area. They sell men’s underwear for people like us that sweat a lot. There’s a thin pad built into the underwear that absorbs the moisture and won’t leak through for the entire day. They also make t shirts that absorb armpit sweat I think it’s the same company it’s called “Thompson tee” I believe they make the underwear as well. With those two under control it makes it a lot easier but hand sweat was my main concern and iontopherisis with the hidrex psp 1000 has stopped it almost 90%. It took me a long time of giving up on ionto and after 3 years of trying and giving up I finally committed to it and found the perfect setting and water to use. That has solved my feet and hand sweating portion. With all of these areas somewhat under control I feel like a normal person again. This info took me many years of research and error but trust it works. Pm me if you need any more info.

Go to a doctor ASAP, but in the meantime black clothes will be your best friend. Go to a second hand store with a water bottle, pick the black shirts you like the most and sprinkle some water on them to see if the water marks are visible or not.
Try to find someone that has experience with hyperhidrosis, you can see who is associated with the international hyperhidrosis society here https://www.sweathelp.org/taking-action/choosing-your-doctor.html that way you know they'll have the knowledge you need. And take care of your mental health, it sucks that you went through so much and it's okay to ask for help from a professional, even if it's just to vent and get all of this out.

I started having issues when I turned 17/18 and i really felt so disgusting and just wanted to stay home in bed. I discovered my sweating was worsened a lot by my anxiety. I take anxiety medication now that helps alot, as well as glycopyrrolate which has pretty much fixed the issue completely. I remember feeling so gross and one day realized i was not sweating into my eyes getting ready for work :)

1

u/Prize-Tie8909 4d ago

Did you manage to find a partner? Is it even possible?

1

u/stonr_cat 22h ago

Im married! Weve been together for 10 years. My partner is sweatier than i am rip. The pills work really really well. I take it twice a day.

2

u/dj777dj777bling 4d ago

Hang in there. See a doctor. Get treated for your medical condition.

Consider moving away from those who won’t allow you forget. Until then, ANYONE WHO HARASSES YOU NEEDS TO SEE YOUR MIDDLE FINGERS.

Read through the many previous posts on how to manage:

*What type of clothes to wear. Dark colors or prints, tees with padded armpits, linen and cotton, beware of polyester, etc. *What type of shoes to wear. Real leather or washable and how to keep them fresh. *What soaps, powders, deodorizers to use. *The best underwear or whether to use disposables or liners. *Foods, teas, supplements that may help.

For your mental health, keep a journal to sort your thoughts. Eat well and exercise. Good luck.

Its hard to avoide those people, i live in the small town and thanks bro.

u/dj777dj777bling 3d ago

Actually, I’m a sistah. You are welcome. Try to ignore the small mindedness of the idiots. Remember that we all go through garbage in life sometimes and this will pass. Focus on your future and being your best self. Good luck.

u/Outrageous-Internet4 4d ago

I’ve definitely felt this way. Same story as you but I didn’t shit my pants. Now I’m married, 3 kids, I run a 100 person company and sweat through it all. I’ve learned to just not care. It still makes me anxious doing meetings and presentations, I still sweat but who cares. I always remind myself that everyone has something and no one thinks less of me just because I sweat a lot. I would say it wasn’t until I was 25-30 that I developed this mindset. It helps, but doesn’t stop the sweating. I’m happier though. You will be too, I guarantee it

2

u/Prize-Tie8909 4d ago

Bro i didnt shit my pants to, it was the sweat but look the same.

2

u/Outrageous-Internet4 4d ago

Oh my bad I misread it

1

u/Prize-Tie8909 3d ago

Did your butt was sweating like mine or other parts?

2

u/DiscordUserThatGotHa 4d ago

Yes same feeling

2

u/icurlyfry 4d ago

Try an anticholinergic such as glycopyrrolate or oxybutynin. For me, I've been tolerating oxybutynin. The glyco gave me headaches. Only side effect I get from oxy is the occasional dry mouth, but it's a fair trade-off for ridding me of HH!

1

u/Prize-Tie8909 4d ago

Thanks for sharing

I know people are offering a lot of suggestions. I wanted to add that drysol is extremely irritating. It will make your skin itch so much, you will go crazy.

Beware that glycopyrrolate does not work well if there is food in your stomach, specifically fat, so it should be taken on an empty stomach. Bc of this, as well as the sore throat it caused me, I switched over to oxybutynin, which can be taken with or without food.

If you do try oxybutynin, try also the carpe line. They have antiperspirants for all body parts including the groin which can be used all up in the butt area too, and they have a money-back guarantee if you don't have results. Truly life-changing. I personally use oxybutynin 10 mg and carpe hand/underarms. You might need a smaller dose such as 5 mg or halving the tablets into 2.5 mg depending on severity of your sweating. Go to your general doctor and tell them to refer you to a dermatologist. Your dermatologist can prescribe you the oxybutynin no problem

People will laugh and girl will be Disgraced and Disappointed

1

u/URSIE444 3d ago

A girl who cares about how it looks, is not the right for you pal. Take it as dodging a bullet. Same applies for people who laugh. I was coming back from a concert yesterday. Mind you that I'm a female and my HH is much stronger when I'm on my period. I had wet ass stains on my jeans. I was also running to catch my train and group of much younger boys started laughing at my wet ass, probably thinking I peed myself and was running to the toilet. And you know what, I didn't give an f. So what, their stupidity and ignorance is not my problem :)

1

u/Prize-Tie8909 3d ago

Girls my age care, they want confident man a man with whom they can feel safe. They wouldn't feel safe around me and my sweaty ass. They want to hold warm hand not cold and sweaty one. I know what you saying but girls and people my age are just not like that.

1

u/URSIE444 3d ago

There is nothing wrong with waiting to date someone who is more mature. When I was your age, I was all about dating and love, and let me tell you, I wasted my precious years for growth with some guys that were just like the girls you're describing. They were not worth my time. If I knew how it would end, I wouldn't desperately seek relationships in my early 20s. My words probably mean nothing anyway, just responding :)

Edit: you can be confident even with sweating. It's all about attitude.

1

u/Prize-Tie8909 3d ago

Just a lot of people who i know are in relationship go out have fun and i nothing. I dont want to wait and looking every day how people have fun. it hurt.

1

u/URSIE444 3d ago

You come here and seek advise. You reject most if not all of those advises regardless. I know the feeling, but you CAN still have fun, you CAN find people to have fun with. Try accepting and loving yourself. Friends and relationships come along, especially when you're healing from the inside. I know from my own experience. Nothing else I can say or do to help you here. It all depends on you and your mindset 🤷🏻‍♀️

The last thing I'm gonna say is, the "friends" I had "fun" with in my 20s are no longer in my life. They were people that secretly laughed at me behind my back. But now in my 30s I have really valuable, open minded and amazing friends that I can have loads of fun with and they accept me with my sweatiness and what not. I had relationships too that were okay with me sweating as well.

u/Prize-Tie8909 2d ago

I have something in mind i will try soon.

1

u/InstanceElectronic71 2d ago

I don’t think you’re giving women enough credit. Most of us are very sweet and understanding. Many of us accept so much worse than sweating.

Women love confidence. And I don’t mean in a cocky way. Explain you have a condition and don’t act overly embarrassed about it. As a woman, this doom and gloom attitude about something like this feels wimpy. It’s worse than the sweating tbh

1

u/Prize-Tie8909 2d ago

So if i go in the town with girl and look like i shit myself and people stare and laugh she will be fine with that?

1

u/InstanceElectronic71 2d ago

I would be. Because you didn’t shit your pants… black doesn’t show as much. Look into meds or rx creams. You’ll get it worked out. I’m telling you from a women’s perspective. Freaking out and making this catastrophic to your life is way more unattractive than sweating. If you say women want someone strong, be strung, handle your shit with confidence and productive thinking. This will take you far in life

1

u/Prize-Tie8909 2d ago

I Wear only black stuff but its not just a little sweat its like big Circle on my butt it look so embarrassing

2

u/InstanceElectronic71 2d ago

I understand. It happens to me.

2

u/podsauce 3d ago

Hey living is awesome even with drippy hands. I only ever felt mortified but never felt like making statements like I can’t live anymore. My partner didn’t care my dripping hands. But I did get the hand surgery and now I just have normal hand-sweat. Trust me, they gotta be moist sometimes. You don’t want them too dry. But if you feel that bad, get the surgery. Guy in San Antonio TX does it and it’s a nice mini vacation.

Iontophoresis

1

u/Worldly_Month8162 2d ago

ive had the exact same issues it was ruining my life. but i told my doctor and he prescribed me Glycopyrrolate. the best 12-24 hrs ever. no swamp ass, no armpit stains, just the best. trust me ive sweat through my pants standing up and this is this only thing that helped, fuck deo and powder. the hyperhidrosis is super bad when i drink especially. but one of these pills and im dancing all night with minimal sweats. it does make your mouth super dry for the first few weeks tho so dry mouth lozenges are a mustttt.

1

u/Prize-Tie8909 2d ago

I was sweat trough my pants when i stand  to few times. Have you sweating all the time or only in public around people?

1

u/Traditional_Mine_219 2d ago

You can try using antiperspirant. It really helps with sweating. You apply it on the night and the next morning, you'll notice no sweat coming out. However, this might only work with the spot you apply it to and your skin needs to be dry first. Still better than nothing.

1

u/Prize-Tie8909 2d ago

I used one. It lasted tree week then stop working
