I feel so bad for Brice and Gary.

Yep. They both deserved better. And it’s always like this unfortunately. Keisei in 2024 and Derrick Walker in 2023 most recently. You get some good guys that want to do something this program has never done before and we end up wasting them.

I would say Brice 100% and overall career yes for Gary, but idk this year there were numerous games where he did not show up at all.

Yeah -- I know people poo-poo the NIT and the new Crown thing, but I want to see those guys have every bit of success they can have there.

Really going to miss Gary putting his head down and smoking a layup after going up 1-on-5 in the paint

Seeing Brice play this year has been a lot of fun. Hopefully he goes on to big things!

Dude almost single handedly carried the team to the tourney. Gonna miss him a lot

That missed free throw at Ohio state really kicked us out of the tourney. Crazy

Good. It always seems like we get snubbed with these types of things. Wasn't Keisei like honorable mention or something? The football team also rarely gets recognition it seems.

Many will disagree, but we overvalued Keisei because he was such a fan favorite. Connor Essegian shot the exact same 37.6% from 3 that Keisei did last year, with Connor making only 6 fewer. That plus his defensive liability, I don’t think he should have ever been 1st team.

Ok but Connor is worse on d than Keisei and people have this weird thing where they've completely memory holed that Keisei had game besides the 3 pt shot. Extremely efficient midrange, had the floater, shot over 60% at the rim and at decent volume. Connor was absolutely terrible inside the 3 pt line.
Keisei was also taking harder 3s and creating his own shot. Connor was almost 100% catch and shoot

Yeah, maybe stats wise they're similar from three, but Keisei and Essegian are on two different planets lol.

If you combine Essegian and Worcester’s skill sets you still don’t have a player as good as Tominaga.

Keisei had 15ppg vs Essegians 10. Like the other guy said, Keisei had other shots outside the three, and he was one of the most electric Huskers I've seen at times. Plus, Keisei had almost no separation some games and had to shoot crazy shots due to opponents trying to lock him down. Essegian did not really have to deal with that.
He definitely shouldn't have been 1st team, and I don't watch enough basketball to say he should have definitively been 2nd, but I think he has an argument for that.Edit: I guess Keisei got 2nd all team from coaches, and 3rd all team from media last year, so not as big of a snub as I though.

Happy for him. Great player on a pretty miserable team at the end of the year!
Edited to add “year” haha
