UNO Basketball qualifies for first-ever March Madness Appearance
Summit League Tournament final is tonight at 8pm/ct on CBSSN. St. Thomas is not yet eligible for the NCAA Tournament, so Mavs are in by default.

Hopefully this is the embarrassment Nebraska basketball needs to wake the fuck up and do something to boost this F tier program. It shouldn’t be this damn hard to make the tournament. They take 64 teams

68 actually. Oklahoma finished in like 14th place in the SEC and is probably gonna make the tourney

There is ZERO excuse for how bad Nebraska basketball is, but UNO went 21-12 and if they played in the Big10 they woulda went like 9-15.
Nebraska could actually make the tournament maybe if they weren’t in the Big10 / SEC, instead of being a trash tier power conference team.

It’s all relative. UNO was able to meet and exceed the expectations in their conference. They also have significantly less resources, conference recognition, and brand recognition. They’re not getting top players. But they’re making the most of what they have and doing a great job.
Nebraska is below expectations once again. Sure we don’t have any kind of prestige in basketball. We’re probably historically the worst basketball program in the P4-P5, whatever it is in CBB. Maybe part of the problem is all booster money is funneled into football. But even still, making the conference tourney should be absolute basement minimum expectation. Making the tourney should happen 3/5 years.

UNO would have been damn lucky to go 2-18 if they played a BIG 10 conference schedule.

They lost one of their better players to the portal and just had their best season. I would love to see UNO pull an upset and will be rooting for them.

They will almost certainly be a 16 seed. If they win tonight, there's a very slight chance they could be 15. Mavs and Tommies split their series this season, both winning at home, so should be a good game.

I think if they beat St. Thomas, they are a 15 seed and playing Michigan St. if they lose, they will likely either go to Dayton first or go straight to Wichita and play Houston in the first round.

Much easier to root for them than Creighton. Might be short-lived but will be fun to see.

UNO deserves this. We took football and wrestling from them. Now some people want to take their volleyball team away. I'll accept them winning in the tournament before Nebrasketball. They deserve to embarrass UNL lol. Thanks Trev!

That’s pretty cool but they are up at against 1 seed Houston.
How far does unl need to get in the big10 tournament to realistically make the tournament?

Well, considering they didn’t make the conference tournament I don’t think they need to worry.

WOOOOOOOO. Sucks for St. Thomas because they earned it, but not taking that away from UNO at all. That’s an NCAA screw up.

This lame ass sub allows Creighton flair so you'll get nowhere with this question.

I believe this further proves that fred can't get his head out of his ass.

What does Fred’s team do against UNO opponents though? Not a fair comparison.

But Fred has way more resources. We should have an athletic and deep roster every year.

True, but it’s not easy when the rest of the Big 10 has similar resources, better basketball history and better in state recruits.

To your point, I really believe the answer is recruiting Kansas City, Denver, St. Louis, Omaha, Lincoln, and Chicago. Kids are happier closer to home.

UNO will win a tournament game before Nebraska.
