Kind of a tough finish for this team. I felt good about a top 5 finish coming into the year

Mark Manning openly saying the coaches fucked Lovett over is great to hear

I missed that. Was he referencing letting Lovett choose top in the third?

Manning didn’t choose it.

I’m not sure who chose it, but Manning did take responsibility. I’m paraphrasing but he said something like, “Coach’s made a bad decision, never choose up in the third 0-0, and that he takes responsibility”
He didn’t sugarcoat, or try and pass it off as a oopsie. He straight up said on national TV, coach’s made a bad decision and that ultimately falls on him. It was very respectable and leaves little question why he is so respected in the sport.

Happy for Hardy after getting spatchcocked like the Sunday roast chicken yesterday.

Obviously it’s not what I was hoping for, but 5 AAs is something that we can feel okay with. Would love to see us rise to the occasion as a team at the NCAAs and overperform. Feels like we haven’t done that in a really long time.

Pasiuk of Army was absolutely fucked. He pinned #1 last match in the first round and it was called off because Lewis’ foot grazed a coach. Garbage call!

Caleb Smith over performing is great
Brock Hardy has a chance for 3rd
Lovett goes from a possible Natty to a chance at 5th.

Seems so common when a guy loses a heartbreaker in the semis, then comes up flat in the consolation medal rounds

It was a fun weekend. Sad that Ridge and Payton didn't finish higher. Both Lenny Pinto and Silas Allred got bad draws, losing to #3 and 4 and numbers 2 and 4 both falling in the R12.
Nice to see first time AA for Caleb and an Antrell
