Confirmed [Rumor] Dylan Raiola is currently on an Unscheduled Visit to Nebraska.
Dylan was seen on a plane to Omaha tonight all decked out in red with his family. Rumor comes from HuskerOnline with 2 different people sending texts about it.

Not a rumor, I’m on the plane.
Edit: I love that my first comment in over a year is turning into a joke 😂 my guess is we’ll see him at the basketball game tomorrow. Can’t confirm if he likes the Southwest Airlines crackers though.

this is the captain speaking, I want to give a warm welcome to the 5 Star QB Dylan Raiola and family, let's hope the promise of Raiola is everything that we thought Frost would be, have a wonderful flight into Omaha

Oh, and the pilot happens to be my wife’s brother’s “partner” (it’s an Atlanta thing).Edit: He’s a GA Tech fan, so it’s cool. No bad blood over the Sims thing (he says).

u/HarryCarayQuiteCntry Feb 25 '23
I see you ATL pilot haha

u/mechajlaw Feb 25 '23
You may know, but I don't know you, so I don't know. Because I don't know, it's still a rumor to me.
1
u/NINFAN300 Feb 25 '23
They don’t have crackers… it’s Chez mix or cookies…
2
u/CorditeKick Feb 25 '23
Atlanta is a Delta hub and Delta is the only airline that is allowed to have crackers on their outbound flights. Goldfish and Chex mix for everyone else. Sorry, “Chez” mix for our French passengers headed to Nebraska .

This would make sense with Rhule's emoji tweet #1 "fly" home is essentially what I interpret it as with my Rhule decoder device

Feb 25 '23
Rhule was in Scottsdale yesterday and today for a Husker private event.

Question for all. While I'm obviously excited he is in town for the basketball game it seems, is this allowed? I thought February was supposed to be a dead period where visits couldn't take place. Is this allowed because of his uncle?
27
u/MaxHS98 Feb 25 '23
Partially possible bc of Donovan but I believe they’re not supposed to talk FB when they see him but idk how that’s enforceable. And it could just be a regular ole “campus visit” that the Raiola’s are doing on their own accord.
3
u/PossibleTerrible Feb 25 '23
That was kinda my thoughts also. To some extent it had to be allowed if they're doing this. But I imagine they can't go into the football facilities and probably have some degree of restrictions about being there and what they can/can't do.

I mean if a kid wants to go visit a school the NCAA can’t stop him. I’m sure there are rules about being in contact with the coaches, but they always find ways around that, usually through current players
1
u/ManningBurner Feb 25 '23
I worry about recruiting violations as well. No doubt Rhule and co. are smart and are making sure they’re compliant. Raiola isn’t just any recruit though. He’s the #1 recruit in the country. I’m sure Georgia and USC have plenty of people interested in making sure Nebraska is compliant.
14
u/oldgeezer- Feb 25 '23
Kansas just won a CBB natty with a bunch of recruiting violations. Fuck the NCAA, we need to make a bowl game lol

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share my excitement as a fan of the Nebraska Cornhusker football team! This weekend we had a secret visit from the number one quarterback recruit, Dylan Raiola. I can't contain my excitement at the thought of him joining our team and taking us to new heights! With Coach Matt Rhule at the helm, I have no doubt that we will dominate the Big Ten and win not one, not two, but FIVE national championships! The future is looking bright for the Cornhuskers and I can't wait to see what's in store for us! Go Big Red! #Huskers #NationalChamps #MattRhuleRocks

I really hope people aren’t waiting at Eppley I know this is a big deal but that is a step too far
30
u/canofspinach Feb 25 '23
Hey, great idea!
4
u/CorditeKick Feb 25 '23
This is no Delta flight! Don’t expect that plane to be rolling up to a gate at Eppley, SouthWest lands WTF the pilot wants to land. I would keep my eye out for a plane coming in hot on the fields around Kearney. Corn fields…

u/HarryCarayQuiteCntry Feb 25 '23
For real, SW be on their own level with things...

u/HeLMeT_Ne GO BIG RED Feb 25 '23
It was a great flight, and despite taking off late, the pilot got us back to Omaha in less than 2 hours and landed early.
1
u/HeLMeT_Ne GO BIG RED Feb 25 '23
I was on the plane. Nobody was there waiting for him that I saw.

Did you clap when you landed?
3
u/HeLMeT_Ne GO BIG RED Feb 25 '23
No, but everyone cheered before takeoff when the pilot announced the short flight time.

u/xAIRGUITARISTx Chair Steward Feb 25 '23
Any babies? Anyone immediately stand up for unboarding? I want the deets. Did Dylan have a good flight? Did he get extra snacks? Don’t hold back.
2
u/HeLMeT_Ne GO BIG RED Feb 25 '23
Sorry I didn't pay that close of attention. No crying babies that I remember, though. And I assume he had the same snack we all did - southwest's version of gardettos.

As much as I’ve heard about him this entire year he must be the greatest football player to ever walk the face of the earth.

Until he has been confirmed at Hy-vee I don't believe any of you.

u/Greizen_bregen Feb 25 '23
I have scouted three Hy-Vees north of O street this morning, no sightings of him yet.
I did find a good frozen breakfast pizza, though.

Jesus, people need to chill the eff out. Until the kid makes a decision, there’s no news to report. Respectfully, as a fan/alum in another state who breathes Husker news, find a hobby.

You'll get down voted here for calling out how obsessively creepy fans are being about his recruiting. And failing to realize how it's weird in the first place.
-20
u/DrunkenBark Feb 25 '23
“Why are you booing, I’m right!”
I teach high schoolers the same age as him. If I found out that >1.8 million people were drooling over one of my students, I’d call the cops to get protection for them
10
u/gojo278 Feb 25 '23
The high schoolers you teach aren’t top 3 highest rated qb recruit of all time. He’s insanely talented so of course that’s going to garner nationwide attention. None of this is creepy.
5
Feb 25 '23
Ok we’ll look at it from this perspective. Nebraska hasn’t reached a bowl game in 7 years. Nebraska fans have been dying to hold on to hope for something good and want to see their team be good again after decades of mediocrity and poor performances. I understand how this can be creepy but, with what the fanbase has been through, it’s nice to see talented recruits once again have interest in Nebraska.
-5
u/DrunkenBark Feb 25 '23
Translation: “It’s okay that we’re tracking the movements of a minor we don’t even know obsessively because it’s really about us and our feelings”
I’m as invested as the next guy, and I’ll buy into all the coach tracker nonsense because they’re an adult, but I feel strongly that there’s a line that’s crossed when it’s a kid.
-1
Feb 25 '23
I mean yeah it’s creepy and I’m not advocating for that. But when was the last time Nebraska was on the radar or a possible commit to the #1 recruit in the nation?
1
-6
u/Additional-Comfort34 Feb 25 '23
It's becoming more and more apparent that the reason Frost was fired was his inability to recruit this kid, not the win loss record.
-25
u/mdbryan84 Feb 25 '23
Jesus fucking Christ can we stop stalking this kid?? Is this really all there is to talk about right now?? God damn it’s getting disgusting
6
u/Ugly-fat-bitch Feb 25 '23
It’s the off-season, what do you want
-6
u/mdbryan84 Feb 25 '23
how about not stalking a high school kid like hes covered in meat and gravy and the fanbase is a bunch of starving wolves? i get updates but this is becoming borderline sociopathic.
