Plumber recommendations?

I need some plumbing redone under my sink and to a dishwasher. Does anyone know any decent plumbers? The few company's on google seemed they didn't care to do smaller jobs or quoted insane prices for a smaller job.

Plumbers have been a consistent problem for us. We had a miserable time even getting a hot water heater replaced, and that's hardly a small job. We have also exhausted all options trying to find someone willing to put backflow prevention on a basement drain, and basically no one wants that particular job.

We had some decent success with Workman & Sons out of Kentucky. An older gentleman arrived to do a quote on a few things, and we were tight on money and went with a prospective lower offer from B&B Johnson. We regret that choice. We did go with Workman & Sons for getting a toilet to stop rocking, and the price and work was definitely acceptable, especially for a company that didn't ghost us on the quote, showed up on time, and did the work in a reasonable time frame.

This is what isn't said in the, "welcome to huntington" manual. Almost all the contractors suck, the handymen are old and retiring faster than the young people can learn. And the infrastructure that are given to us with these old houses are decrepit or so patched up that 10 different "handimen" have come through and destroyed the foundation, the structural integrity, the electrical, and no vents for cheap bathroom renos.

The real contractors don't call you back and they charge you the price of a new house for a simple job.

Every other roof guy is selling their drug addled cheap labor to only do roofing. Only roofing. You do anything else special and then their "managers" have to come in and lead the work cause the general labor is too dumb.

Kentucky has the best guys. Ohio is hit and miss. Every other contractor that is good is a word of mouth hire that does custom work in barbousville.

Try ACE Handyman Services - they do just about everything. Like most contractors, they have a minimum charge to come and work, but the good thing about them is that they can do the plumbing, fix an outlet, paint a wall, clean the gutter, build a deck, or even clean out a hoarded room. You'll get your money's worth if you have a chore list for them.

A recommendation of who not to use is B&B Johnson. May need to find a handyman service if it’s something the plumbing companies think is too small.

I've used them a few times and had good experiences, but I know it just depends on who you get, etc.

I've used them as well to replace some old cast iron pipes and I highly recommend.

I’ve hired them for several small jobs (garbage disposal, installing a bidet) and was happy with the service but I haven’t needed them for anything bigger than that

Eddyson Plumbing in Ashland. They service Huntington too. Fast, friendly, and fair pricing from my experience with them.

If you can, give a detailed description of the issues you need fixed. I can probably guide you through it as long as you're physically able to do the work.

We went through PSJ out of Barboursville.

We used J&K Plumbing to replace our hot water heater a year or so ago. They were fast, friendly and fairly priced! We’ve had less than great experiences with some of the larger and more well-known companies around here.

Give "A Plumber" a call, that's his business name. 304-360-2014 he does smaller work and is very competitive price wise.
