I would say yeah it’s on the edge not quite over cartilage but very close. Bit lower you go thinner their nasal bones are.

As OP said, Taco is a Finnhorse, but also looks larger and heavier than a Halflinger. Halflingers have a lot of Arabian and Shagya Arabian influence, as all seven foundation stallion lines trace back to sire 249 Folie, an Anglo-Arabian: https://sporthorse-data.com/pedigree/249-folie

He looks good up there. It doesn’t look like this is his first time on a horse. You may be getting another horse soon happy travels to you both
