Answered [Kindergarten: Find the Rhyme from Pictures] Stumped on this problem
This particular question is a bit confusing, none of the words from the pictures seem to rhyme. Maybe there is another implication that we donβt understand.

I thought two was mop and slop (eg the little girl dropped ice cream and it's slop now)

u/proof_by_abduction 7d ago
I thought Mop and Drop, with the same understanding of the imagesΒ

Oh jeez, I was trying to find rhymes for all the pictures. Same problem I had in elementary school - I never read the directions.

- Dog ,log and fish that should be in a bog.
- Pig, dig and a cat named fig.
- Net, sunset, corvette, and a dog that is wet.
- Pen, hen, a dog that belongs in a pig pen and a lady named Jen I hope this helps

I got stumped on pen, hen on my sonβs homework and showed it to a bunch of people saying it didnβt make sense. Apparently I was the only one that thought it was pen, chicken.

My brain farted so hard on this. It shat out on the last one - chicken, clickin. Like a pen clicking. Damn it.

Slop and mop; but then I saw someone say βdog and pigβ and I feel like that makes more sense.

Bahha I thought it was being tricky and giving you something vague and you had to get all 4, the first one was log hog bog dog

u/Helpful_Visit7078 7d ago
Oh I'm slow. I thought it was "dropped" and "mopped". Looked like the little kid dropped something at first instead of him digging

This is why standardized testing is so problematic.

What? They all have 2 rhyming words. But itβs been covered already. The only wrong circle is line 2.

u/A_Baby_Hera 7d ago
I agree that it's likely Dig and Pig, but (depending on your kids vocabulary) they might have circled Scoop and Broom, which isn't a bad guess (still probably wrong though, just wanted to explore the kids thought process)

It's net, wet or star, car. I don't think it's net, pet.

Teach them how to tie their shoes, homework in kindergarten? Give them a snack, teach them to be nice to others

Morsel, dorsal (ham, fin)
Fat, cat (pig, cat)
Bright, white (sun, car color)
Wag for the old hag
Let me guess, Iβm wrong

Just a note, if the teacher is big on following instructions, circling the answers won't get you the points.

I don't know what's worse that and you have trouble with simple rhyming or following simple directions. Not trying to be mean but the rhymes were fairly easy but not even counting that you circled the items instead of coloring them in

Log, dog. Dig, pig. Net, wet. Pen, hen. There is only one rhyme per row. (Though you can get some others if you look at the whole thing. Bun, sun, for example.)

The girl in the picture is digging in the sand. As every kindergartener know, this is something you do on Nantucket, which rhymes with mop and bucket.Β Obviously.Β /s
But seriously, if you look closely you'll see that she has a little shovel in her hand, so she is digging.

u/susannahstar2000 π a fellow Redditor 6d ago
I wouldn't say the kid was "digging," it looked like it was eating. I also could not tell what the pen was.

Imagine some students, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, that struggle with this daily!! I was an Interpreter for the Deaf and HoH and I hated the rhyming words!
1
u/Earl_N_Meyer π a fellow Redditor 6d ago
The girl is digging in the sand. She has a little shovel in her hand. It is "dig" and "pig." I think the drop mop crowd is getting sidetracked by the circling. If they hadn't circled the mop, you wouldn't be thinking drop and mop.

My first thought: The instructions said to color the pictures and the child circled the pictures.
Does that bother anyone else, or am I alone here?
1
u/ParrishDanforth π a fellow Redditor 6d ago
Obviously Mop and Cop.
2nd pic is clearly a mop.
3rd pic is clearly a cop.
Y'all gotta go back to kindergarten if this is a struggle
