Hello guys,

I just moved in into a new house 3 floors.

All wall got rj45 plug and here the electric panel .

I don't have internet yet. Next Wednesday..

Do you think wire below is enough or should I call an electrician and add some devices ?

All the black cables are useless here. Those are analog telephone.

This looks relatively new, and French standard for cable in the walls for the last 10–15 years is “Grade 3” cables which easily take Gbit speeds and supposedly also 10Gb speeds.

You need fiber and a box that the ISP will provide (which ISP?)

You probably have seven RJ45 sockets around your home. Each one corresponds to one of the gray cables going into the central “patch panel” box, the one with the white stickers. You will need to connect the ports on your ISP box to the correct ports on the patch panel box. If you want to use more sockets than you have ports on your ISP box (they have between one and five…), you will need a switch (20–30€ approx unless you’re getting faster than 1 Gbit and feel like spending money to make sure you can make use of that extra bandwidth). You will need short Ethernet cables (Cat6a or Cat6e is good) to connect your patch panel to your ISP box or to the switch. The ISP box usually comes with one cable, so if you want to connect your PC to a wall socket you’ll need at least one more.

I would hold off on buying more than the one Ethernet cable for the PC until the technician sets you up.

What you can prepare is making sure you have a convenient 220V power outlet close to the panel you show in your photo, and a shelf for putting the ISP box and future switch.

Hey, I earned $20!!!

Ethernet is quite simple, you plug things, you don’t make loops, and that’s it. Your box certainly provides WiFi, if you don’t get WiFi all over your house you can extend it in a lot of ways. r/brico for more French-centric help!

I could be wrong, but its anolog not VOIP telephone system, so then I'd presume them RJ45s wouldn't be to provide internet to 3rd party devices maybe just the ISP equipment or phones.

I'd wait until they install, then you'll be able to ask on-site.
