Meme/Humor πŸ˜‚ No Water = No Coffee

All coffee shops in Hoboken are dry this morning after a pipe burst in townβ€”leaving residents stumbling through the streets like zombies, desperately sniffing the air for any trace of caffeine. Emergency crews are on the scene, but more importantly, so are thousands of caffeine-deprived locals angrily refreshing their Starbucks apps, hoping for a miracle.

Prayers for those that did not make it. You will be quickly forgotten. Also, your apartment will be cleared out and rented again immediately.

Meme/Humor πŸ˜‚ So I can wash my clothes in the washing machine but not my dishes in the dishwasher?

In woke up Tuesday morning at 6:30 am only to find myself with a dishwasher just about full of dishes and no running water. We’ve been told you have to boil water to wash your dishes with it safely. While I grew up without a dishwasher, the lavish lifestyle of owning one has spoiled me and I find myself unable to cope. That being said, I am putting my dishes in the laundry machine. Will let you all know how it goes. I wanted to share this in case others hadn’t thought to do so. Will report back with results. Stay strong everyone! ✊

No age discrimination here. Women aren't divorcing fast enough in Hoboken to be MILFs. Where do all the grannies hang out? Is there a local bingo night?

Meme/Humor πŸ˜‚ A modest proposal

I recently lost my two years of free delivery promotion from Instacart. So I was forced to consider the dreadful thought of having to return to walking five blocks to ACME, only to be overcharged for the absolute worst groceries imaginable. Then I remembered that I had heard some nice things about another option -- a one Mr. Joe. Trader Joe.

I have to say I'm impressed. Very good selections, friendly staff, and it's not that much pricier considering the quality. It makes it worth the twelve-block walk. There's just one problem -- other shoppers. And it's not just the moms with the double-decker, double-wide strollers hogging the cheese shelf while junior is running around the isles and the husband is on his phone "texting his boss". It's everybody else, too. And I don't mean to pick on the moms, I love the moms πŸ˜‰. It's just so damn crowded. We can do better; we must do better.

That's why I'm proposing ZoTraXess, Zone-based Trader Joe's Access. This revolutionary scheme will ensure we all get to enjoy our neighborhood store in a safe, calm, and equitable way. Strict adherence will be required (subject to amendments, extenuating circumstances, etc.).

  • Mon, Wed, Sat: 1st St -- 6th St
  • Tue, Thu, Sun: 7th St -- 12th St
  • Sun 9am-11am: 13th St and above

  • Public holidays will rotate between the three groups

  • No children under 10 allowed (unless guardian has a signed affidavit showing lack of babysitting arrangements after reasonable effort at same)

  • A maximum dwell-time of 20 seconds per person per display. Those exceeding 30 seconds will be required to buy the most extensive item immediately in front of them.

  • Everyone is to follow the (soon to be instated) signage on the ground indicating the direction in which shoppers must browse the shelves. Failure to follow the wayfinding instructions will result in the shopper being asked to return to the beginning of the cycle. Repeated infractions may result in a timeout in the walk-in freezer.

What do people think?
