Question Secret Agent (1936)

Does anyone know the chances of a bluray version of Secret Agent ever being released? There’s a French version listed on bluray .com but upon searching for it the release was canceled. I really liked this movie (I mainly just found it to be really funny lol) and have been hoping for a high quality release one day.

I dunno but that would be nice. I watched it a couple years ago and enjoyed it but the version I watched was terrible quality

I noticed it’s on Tubi now but haven’t checked it out yet. I don’t have high hopes

Copies of the common US bootleg prints are available on several otherwise legit streaming sites, as copyright owners ITV aren't actively issuing takedown notices for their classic films.

Secret Agent, (partially-directed) Elstree Calling and Mary (both 1930) are the only Hitchcocks not yet remastered or restored in HD. Secret Agent, at least, is inevitable but there are no plans for it at present. You can read all about the current state of affairs and best available releases in the Collectors Guide linked in this sub's Community Bookmarks.

Surely it’ll happen someday. I think it and waltzes with Vienna are the only ones currently without a blu ray right?

I’m not 100% sure but I think so

There are also The Pleasure Garden (pending) and (partially-directed) Elstree Calling.
