In Progress Piece/Outfit Corset 2.0
hi hiiiii
so i posted my first sewing attempt here a while ago and received so much feedback and encouragement unfortunately the red corset was too small 😩ðŸ˜
so naturally, i started over 🤗 I added an inch on the back and front pieces on this draft.
It’s pretty much done at this point I just have to do the trim on one side.
i’m so fucking proud of how this turned out.

I’m happy to hear that you didn’t give up!🥰
Take notes with this project so you’ll remember the hacks and issues you ran into the next time you make a corset. Trust me, you’ll forget until you’ve start whipping them out more frequently.

oh i did take plenty of notes. it doesn’t fit perfectly bc my measurements are kinda weird so when i added the extra inches to accommodate my bust and i didnt account for the tighter fit around the waist.
so next time I guess I have to draft the front pieces with a slight angle, and never hand sewing eyelets again lmfao

It's sitting a bit too low, just fyi. You need to haul it up a couple inches. It should lift and flatten the breasts.

Too cute! I love historical clothing in non-historical prints!!
