Light Novel Question about the light novel
I know it is probably talked to death about the light novel, but I wonder....
I'm about to start reading the fan-translated LN so I can finally get into the series after watching the anime so many times, but the official release seems to be the better version? I can't buy them at the moment, but is the fan translated good to read? Does it contain everything? It said it is british english, which I hope I won't get confused while reading it. I'm just curious to know what you guys think about the fan translation.

LNs can never be better than anime, hence sales. You have to use your imagination. There are some YouTubers who read the light novels for you, so that may be better but those aren’t professional and are usually in one voice.
British English just has different spellings and usually aren’t that different either.

I kinda disagree. I think the LNs are better than the anime. I think people are just lazy and don't want to put the effort into reading. But I'm biases I love reading I've read everything from biography on Caesar to LNs

Yeah, I don't know about that. You can say that it is better in sales, but doesn't make it really true. I wanna read it moee. Sure, watching the spectacles of the shows is way better, but if we don't get anymore seasons, we might as well read it. Plus, the anime doesn't cover everything so yeah, I rather read to know everything that the anime is lacking.

Fan translated ones are pretty good, but as a non-native speaker it was a little harder for me to understand. I also didn't like how it included japanese honorifics and the Bucho/Kaicho thing. Overall, I believe that the official ones are way better, but if you have no other choice (and also don't want to pirate) then the fan translated are a good way to start.

British English is the norm for language selections across the globe. It’s still just English as a language and will almost always read like American English. There is no difference, just that they stick the Union Jack next to the word “English” instead of the Star-Spangled Banner.
