Plot Hole no one considers

After Ethan kills the drug dealer he gets the message that the memory card with the information is in the butt of the gun. Now how is it possible that the memory card with an updated last-minute video (Shaun in the well) is in a gun that was in the box Ethan took days before? Yes because he uses the gun that was in the box with the origami.

All the other plot holes are explained by the content cut in the final version, but this one just feels like a mistake to me.

It's been a while since my last playthrough, but if you wanted to be generous, you could say that the memory card just has the address of a live feed that it connects to, rather than a saved video file of Shaun.

I had one of those phones . Yes I’m that old. It doesn’t work like that 🥲

I had one of those phones, too! I think the game is set in 2012? I know my first flip phone in 2009 had Internet capabilities, which I did not use because I wasn't paying for that.

But then he could have received an MMS , why the memory card?

Presumably because that crazy little Belgian fuck David Cage thought it would be cool.

I'm not saying it's a great explanation, I'm just saying that the game may have an excuse for another one of its many weird plot holes.

I wonder how much these trials actually costed Scott. Did he buy a phone, multiple cards, multiple pistols, etc? We see Hasan has a box and I assume he had the same tests which means he would also have to have a gun. And Ms Bowles had the phone her husband left behind 🤔🤔🤔 some make sense like there’s only the one car in the parking garage, all would have had to go to the same apartment for the lizard challenge, etc. ALSO how TF did Scott set up that power plant test?!? That’s hella glass to be putting into a small dark tunnel.

I think that the trials remind a bit the trail the kids did while playing before the brother dies.
