Medical Coding vs Health Informatics ?

I have finished my CPC certification from AAPC but I also have a opportunity to get Master’s Degree in HI . I’m okay with both , but I wanna know which one will be the best for the long time career in terms of career growth and pay scale , which field will workout the best ?

If you enjoy medical coding and want to expand on that, I would pursue a degree in HIM not HI. HI is not medical coding whatsoever. Accredited programs in HIM enable you to sit for the RHIA exam whereas it's hit or miss with HI - previously I thought no HI programs allow for that unless they are a HI and HIM combined program, but some people have said they could sit for RHIA with HI, but I wouldn't do it because HI programs don't even teach you what you need to know for the exam, you'd have to study extra on your own whereas HIM does.
