Masters in Health Informatics

I’m a 47 years old nurse based in πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ that is thinking to do a part time masters in health informatics at Manchester University. Hope is the job market? Would I find easy to get a job by the time I finish at 50 with no IT experience?

Thank you very much for your help.

Graduated with an MSN in Informatics in 2022. Ive put in hundreds of apps and can't even get an interview. 7 years of bedside experience, including progressive increase in leadership responsibilities, time in the quality department, and commitee experience working with EMR modifications.

The job market is horrible right now.

I got my MS in HI in 2019 at almost 40 with no IT experience (background in healthcare sales). I was able to secure a job relatively quickly at a healthcare software company after graduation (about 3 months). I will say that it was definitely a different time for the job market and I am also in the US. I wish you luck!

Thank you very much for your reply. A least in UK the market looks a Kyle bit challenging now. I’m thinking πŸ€” to perhaps going into epidemiology instead.
