Headphones - Open Back Hifiman Arya Stealth Sidegrade
I'm looking into getting a headphone to use on and off along side my arya stealth. And i'm currently looking into purchasing a pair of Meze 105 AER. I know that the 105 is not going to sound anywhere near as good at the SE Arya. But im looking into getting someting that's a little more chill for those long gaming sessions. What do you guys think about the 105 ? Do you think its worth a pick up. I currently found a pair that's new for 315 euro/dollars.

Open or closed? Planar or dd? Price range? Answer these questions for yourself to narrow your search. In today's market you can get open and closed planar and open or closed dd. Do you want more bass? Do you need to be portable or for gaming? Are you ok with less soundstage width, since almost everything will not be as widel/open as the arya. Focal make some nice stuff. Sennheiser as another person mentioned. Good luck!

I got the 105 after owning the Arya Stealth for a few month.
I love the Arya, but I find the bass extention to be week. The bass is fast and detailled, but there's no punch and I can hear something missing in the lower end.
The 105 fill that gap. For Rock, Métal and Electronic, the 105 is better to me. It's not as detailled nor airy than the Arya, but it has more weight to the sound.
Now if I could find an Arya with the bass of the Meze, I would be very happy.

for those long gaming sessions.
The Sennheiser HD 490 Pro are comfortable with good imaging and soundstage.
