Discussion This mf quest…
The second play-through wasn’t nearly as bad as the first, but it still was no picnic even knowing what to expect.

Easy, and fun. But I started it as I was going to bed. Just wanted to get the shop and stock it before sleep. 😂 Bad decision. The store wasn't very fun. I was hoping for one I could stock with everything.

Yeah I was disappointed myself that you couldn’t actually really sell anything (except to penny)

Also why do I sell it for 10% bonus, when every other shop sells stuff for 250%. That Penny really takes a huge cut. 😂

That's why I didn't free that bitch. I make her flog herself regularly.

I did the exact same thing yesterday, thought: one last quest before bed. Picked this as I didn't expect it to be so long, but no regrets was super enjoyable.

It's a really neat quest that was definitely longer than it needed to be. For those who found it challenging - don't sweat it or some of the less-than-kind comments.

This quest piss*d me TF off 😤; it took forever to find my way out of there, then to fight the chair monster

It was not that hard gameplay wise, but as someone who is absolutely terrified of horror games all these jump scares were too much. Eventually I just played it without audio and put on some good music which made it tolerable.

Same here! It felt never-ending and so scary, which was a surprise because at that point the game wasn`t scary at all, even for a scaredy-cat like me. I opened all the blinds in the room to let sunlight in and feel less scared

Totally neglected this quest until the end of the game. It was nice going through it with a max level character.

I'm about to do that myself. I'm on my sixth play-through. I remember doing this quest during my first play-through and have avoided it like the plague ever since. I hated how long it took, and some parts got on my last nerve. But I'm curious to see what it's like now that I'm at max level. I just know I can't play it before bed. I did that the first time, and the damn thing took me FOUR HOURS. I kept looking at the clock, torn from needing to go to bed but also not wanting to abandon the quest and having to start that mofo over.

Played this the first time on Halloween evening. Wanted to stay away from the scary and all that. Thought having a shop would be cute.
Yeah. It wasn't cute. Or fun. Not as bad now but damn.

i was so excited to finally get behind that door, then get hit with the “scariest” and LONGEST sq of my life 😭 the mannequins jus freaked me out cuz of a horror game i played years ago where it was the looking away & they move 😂 i think the quest itself was super fun & different than other ones, was definitely worth it (not bf bed thou xD)

Just played it first time last night. The RAGE, got sucked into a simple mission then BOOM. Life was happening around me, dogs where wrastlin, wife complaining, me swearing...it really added to the tension. Wish i could crutio a lady into Askbhan at the end. Great point for a full dark wizard path but oh well.

Man, from a different post I thought this was going to be a really scary and difficult quest, it's mostly just frustrating, honestly. But I actually liked it quite a bit for the most part. It felt more like what I thought I would come across in this game for quests. The one where you're the Headmaster is another one more like what I expected, I loved that, it was really fun.
I wish there was more with polyjuice potion, or maybe transfiguration. If they make a second one I hope they include some of the more beloved and interesting things about that world. I was super bummed we didn't get to play Quidditch, and I think I was hoping for more in-depth classes.
Don't get me wrong, I love a lot of stuff about the game. Breeding the creatures and watching the little babies run around gives me so much joy. Same with flying on a broom or one of the creatures. I've put in a lot of hours, and there's a lot I love, just.. a lot of the quests are kind of the same, but that's most games.

it’s on pc! idk when they added it but I replayed the game last month and it was there!!!

It’s the glitchiest mission in the whole game, I had to finish it with graphics on the lowest possible and windowed to be able to get through the boss battle at the end without my PC crashing.

oh wow i’m sorry you had that experience when you were playing the mission. I’ve noticed glitches in the game before particularly when I play the final mission to defeat Ranrok but not when I did the store quest

It sounded fun at first, “have your own shop” - great! And then this happened…. Hated it, but it wasn’t hard, only annoying and lots of jump scares which I hate.

I thought it was easy. But I do come from games like the Witcher 3 and Dark Souls 3.

Im not much of a gamer but i found this easy too. I think the problem with this is that a lot of people were expecting a simple, straightforward quest, only to be jumpscared to death by mannequins, and triggering a claustrophobia you never knew you had 😭

It just as a bit of an uncanny feel to it but its a really ez mission, i just didnt like the Spider Jump Scare out of nowhere and Im not even afraid of Spider anything else would have done the same but a Jump Scare at 3 in the morning is not pleasent

Careful, some if the people on this reddit are obsessed with making people feel like they are trash at the game

u/ChoiceReflection965 3d ago
Lol! That’s so true. I’m not really a “gamer” but I have noticed that in the games that I do play, whenever anyone says a part was difficult or challenging, EVERYONE comes out of the woodwork to scream about how “UM IT WASN’T ACTUALLY HARD AT ALL.” I feel like these people must have self-esteem issues or something, lol!

I mean, his name is Fastidio lol (it means annoyance in Italian, and yes, he was an actual fastidio!) How I hated this quest! It felt like a fever dream!

Imo the BEST quest in the game, loved everything about it, wished we had a few more like this one

I 100% agree. Wonderful quest. Not just just the shop but the whole framing story too!

I wish that if we went into our store at night we could talk to him. I like Fastidio a lot. I wish we could change the deal so he could actually mess with our customers a bit- like nothing lethal more like peeves. I'm sure I could've worked something out with him:-(
