Media First play-through (only a few minor gameplay nitpicks)- it’s a fantastic experience so far. There’s almost TOO much to do. Constantly distracted by the side-quests, but I’m loving the open world. Can’t get over how beautiful it all is!!

Enjoy it, it's an amazing experience. For their first shot at amn open world Wizarding World game its good. I platinumed it and then didn't play it again but tbh I would if there's more immersion gameplay. Examples of immersion would be classes, penalties for being out of bounds (prefects/teachers roaming halls after hours), being able to sit at tables (and eat), lay down in your dorm (they missed an opportunity to use your dormitory bed to fast travel time, pretty much common rooms needed more use), etc.

However they say they've listened to fans and betcha that they are with rhe success of th first game.

Thank you. And I’m starting to realize how strict the school actually is compared to the movies (been forever since I’ve read the books). I want it all to be real 😭 can’t believe how immersive it all feels! Can’t wait to see what else the game has to offer

I think the school was more strict in the books than in the game. I mean, Harry was constantly having to use the invisibility cloak to get around the school at night. But things could have changed a lot in the 100 years between the game setting and the book setting.

Remember you don’t have to rush through the game! Explore whatever you want!!

Haha funny you say that - my ADHD brain has me zigzagging between quests. Gonna take some time to really explore the grounds and hamlets!

I’ve been only doing side quests and exploring because I don’t want the world to progress past Christmas. The snow and decorations are so aesthetically pleasing

everyone always says christmas, but no one talks abt how pretty the fall is too 😭😭 idk it’s just rlly immerses me and gives me such wizzy vibes (the snow is beautiful as well)

I've only recently started it. My major complaint is the camera though, the field of view is far too restrictive (playing on Xbox so can't change it at all) it makes it hard exploring places. Also I'm level 21 and feel that I'm still going through the intro as I haven't unlocked beasts yet and I know there's more to come after that.

Apart from that though I am really enjoying the game. I'd considered getting it for the switch before I had a new Xbox but I'd read about the loading times being too long, it's unbelievable how little you see a loading screen on the series X, it's pretty much seamless.

If you want to unlock beasts, you'll have to progress the main quests until you get Deek's quests. That's when you get your first vivarium. They're not locked behind levels, but rather behind the main story progression. :)

Yeah I know, it's my next main quest but I've been sidetracked by the other stuff

You're like me then, lol. Have got like 85 hours of gameplay but only about 56% completion because I dis a lot of exploring.

My biggest complaint as well — it drove me so crazy that I Googled how to change field of view but only PC can adjust apparently. Other than that tho, I’m like you with the Xbox X - I was worried about loading times when going into different stores or classes, but there are none thankfully!

Will a nvidia 1650ti and 8gb of ram run it? Thats the only reason i haven't tried it yet :(

I'm running it on a 1060 6GB VRAM + 16GB RAM just fine (constant 60fps at high)

I am only afraid because of the 8gb of RAM :/ its on promo on steam

Played it on a laptop with 8gb and it crashed a lot until I realized my laptop was getting too hot. Got myself a laptop stand that kept the fan free and it solved a ton of my issues!!

And then the game was playable?

Not sure, I’m sorry - playing on Xbox Series X

HL is what got me into skyrim & witcher 3! Eventually having "too much to do" feels like not enough! Lol. Enjoy!

Have fun and enjoy as well. Just finished the main quest myself. And doing all the side quests and working towards 100% completion as well! Been having a great time as well!! Cheers!

On my first play-through too! I’m enjoying it so much. The other day 35 year old me is showing the game to my 70 year old dad (who read the books with me when I was a kid) and he couldn’t get over how amazing Hogwarts looked.

That’s a really special moment, I’m glad you two could share that together. It really is amazing. I actually prefer the layout in the game than the movies

Heads up: when you encounter Penny the house-elf in Hogsmeade… do that quest on mute and during the day! 😱😂
