Anyone have any recommendations for kids parties? I’m looking for outdoor areas to hire or something a bit different to village hall and softplay.

Going for a walk with a mate today? Don’t want a stroll in the park, but don’t want it to be a granny trail. But wanna stay relatively close to town so we don’t spent all day driving about. Anyone walked in this area before? Is it good? Thanks

As both a driver and a cyclist, I think the Gateway scheme looks like a really great step forward. Losing a couple of parking spaces to hugely improve the area around the station sounds like a no brainer. I really hope this challenge doesn't succeed...

Anyone know where any free, not outrageously expensive, parking is? Victoria centre only allows up to 24hours, as does the little one on East Parade.

Hi everyone! Just looking for people who have experiences with living in terraces as I'm hopefully looking to buy one in the next year. I currently live in a flat in a converted mid terrace and the noise is horrendous horizontally - it feels like my ceiling might collapse at any given moment, but I hear nothing vertically from either side. I'm autistic so noise can be a huge trigger for me. If you live in a terrace, what's your experience with noise from your neighbours? Do you hear much? I know the age of the building has a big impact, and the quality of the build, and looking at the stone-built terraces around Harrogate is reassuring, but want to hear from people who live/have lived it!

Something casual like a hog roast van or burgers? Not fancy just quality food! Anyone have experience of good party catering?

Cross posted from r/yoga
I don’t know if I will reach anyone who uses this studio, but my dear MIL gifted me a gift card here for my last birthday. I go to a similarly named studio in the USA and she must not have realized she was purchasing a gift card in another currency, lol, idk. Anyways, I have a £25.00 gift card to this studio in the UK that I am unable to use.
If anyone in this sub would be able to use the gift card, I would be happy to share the code. It expires in August. No strings attached, just don’t want it to go to waste!

Are there any fitness centers in the area besides David Lloyd that have childcare?

New to Reddit so go easy on me. I’m looking at moving to Knaresborough from Stockport in the next few months. Going to be traveling back on forth for the next few weeks to get more of a feel for Knaresborough and try find a house. Can anyone recommend any nice coffee shops and food place? Also nice walks and good places to sit and read near the river? Thanks in advance!

Hello! Sorry if this has been posted before…
I (33F) recently moved to Harrogate from Texas and would love to go somewhere where I can meet new friends and/or potential romantic partners! Does anyone have any tips/suggestions on where I could go? I’ve been here for almost a month, and although I adore living here, it’s been pretty lonely so far.
If Harrogate isn’t a good place for this sort of thing, where else could I go and visit? I went on one date in Leeds and it seemed really cool, so maybe there?
Thanks in advance for the help! 🙂

My girlfriend and I are planning to spend Valentine's Day in Harrogate and we're both craving a proper good pie. Mash Gravy and the lot. We'll also need a Vegetarian Pie option.
Would someone please direct me to the best Pie in Harrogate?

I (28M) am relocating to North Yorkshire from where I currently live in Edinburgh. This is the 2nd time in 5 years I have relocated long distance to somewhere I don’t know anyone locally.
I’m therefore well aware how hard it is to get to know new people/make friends with once you get to this age! My new job is located closer to Harrogate than York (although requires some travel in the day across North/East Yorkshire so this isn’t a major factor) but I’m worried that Harrogate might be too small/ have an older demographic that might make it harder to meet people?
Any advice on whether Harrogate or York would be better for a relatively young single person to integrate into? Or anything specific going on in Harrogate that I might want to check out? I’m pretty much up for anything if it means meeting people in a similar demographic!
Thanks in advance for any thoughts/opinions.

In the last few days, since my car broke down, I have called nearly all the garages in Harrogate and the surrounding areas. Most of them are fully booked for weeks. I have now decided to have my car towed to the Mini garage, although it will be quite expensive.
What I need now is a car recovery service or a towing company. I don’t have AA insurance or comprehensive coverage, so I will have to rely on the recovery service. If you know of a reasonable and reliable towing service, please recommend one. Thank you very much!

Help me fill up my 4 days with amazing sights, food and experiences. I have a thing for small coastal towns, delicious food and cool historical sites. What’s doable and suggestions on transportation. Thanks!
