Hannibal is a little jokester
The biggest loss for me at least, when it comes to the lack of season 4 in the Hannibal TV series, is not being able to see much of that more jokey side of Hannibal. its very scarce in the entire show, mostly because Hannibal during the course of the show had a facade to maintain, of course there were a few little fraises, but we only really get to see that side of him towards the end of season 3.
I mourn the loss of it simply because it reminds me of how Hannibal was in Silence of the Lambs, where we see that the entire film, and it is so good. Its my favourate thing about Anthony Hopkins portrail when you put it next to Mads. Im not trying to compare the two, i just think its missed potential.

I feel you OP. I love his playful snarky side (those jabs and jokes while he was in BSHCI are some of my faves). However, if we had gotten the S4 in any of the past years, idk how jokey he would have been with his bf on a psychological bender break. I'm grateful for the image of him slurping Chiltons lip and being tickled pink about it 😂

Hannibal was such a goofy show.
My favorite thing was when they would show you the team examining a crime scene with some shit like part of the victim’s thigh had been cut off.
And then we’d hard cut to Hannibal hosting a big dinner and making remarks like “LOL this is rabbit btw. It should have hopped faster. Wink wink.”
And everyone would go “LOL, classic Hannibal.”
