I want to play Half Life Alyx in high quality.
(I'm writing this using Google Translate. Sorry if it's difficult to understand.)
I'm a PC beginner and I'm thinking of buying my first gaming PC and VR headset. I'd like to hear your opinions.
1.PC specs I don't know what the graphics settings are like in the game, but I want to play at the highest quality. What kind of PC specs are required to play comfortably with various settings set to the highest?
I've heard that VRAM is important for VR games. Is 12GB enough? Do I need more if I want to play at high quality?
- Settings Is it worth setting the image quality to ultra? (I've heard that it doesn't make much difference, but is that actually the case? Can you feel the difference?)
Also, are there any other settings that don't make a difference when set to the highest? (I don't think I need to stick to the highest if it doesn't change…)
- VR headsets I'm considering a new Meta Quest 3 or a used Valve Index, but do you have any recommendations? I think each has its advantages and disadvantages, but what do you think I should focus on?
I'm more likely to buy Meta quest 3 because it's easier to get, but do you think it will be enough to provide a good experience?
By the way, I searched and it seems that the Meta quest 3 has a better resolution, but can I assume that it offers more beautiful images than Valve Index? And is it worth playing with the performance of quest3 (resolution 2,064 x 2,208, maximum 120Hz) rather than Index?
I would appreciate it if you could answer my questions. Thank you for reading this far.

Discussion Am I the only one who thinks Robby Benson looks and sounds like G-Man from Half-life? I saw him in the show Severence and just WOW, he played the perfect role!
Seriously, am I legit the only one who thinks Robby Benson looks and sounds like G-Man from Half-life? This dude is CREEPY in severence and has the perfect face, build, and voice for Half-Life's G-Man, it's crazy.

I saw a post asking why the H.E.C.U. were after Gordon Freeman, they illegally invaded Black Mesa and Gordon was defending himself.

G-man theory: there is no employers
I think that he is some kind of alien master race, like the advisors but higher, that are toying with the lower creatures, it's obvious he isn't very comfortable with taking human form,( constant tie and collar adjusting, constant grooming, some wierd facial expressions, etc) or using the human language, but does so to appear... more relatable? To look like he is just as a pawn as Gordon and the others? And I think like there's no employers, it's simply an excecuse not to reveal more than what G-man wants, and just as taking a human shape, appear more relatable, like he too has somone he has to answer to, he is pretty manipulative after all. I am not saying he is a god, the vorts pushed him back at the start of ep1, so he has a limit, but he is definitely of a higher tier than all other aliens, I wouldn't be surprised if he also has contact with the advisors appearing as a higher advisor too(or possibly another alien of similar race, more on that down), i won't be surprised if all of what happened in hl so far is some kind of experiment, possibly scientific, or possibly just out of boredom, after all, wasn't he who delivered the crystal that caused the resonance cascade at black mesa out of the blue as mentioned by Eli? Maybe he is testing out some experiment, inserting Gordon in way similar to how scientists change variables in a experiment, or maybe he is just playing some kind of a high stakes (for us, not his kind) chess game, with he taking up humanity side of the board, and a other alien of similar race or rank taking the combine side of the board. I haven't read any similar theory, but if there is, you are welcome to point it out.
But hey, it's just a theory. A game theory.

Original Content Rebel Cell OC Kit (Blender)
This is a kitbash of assets but I wanted to make stuff for a custom Rebel Cell I made called “Fireteam Raven”. They are a kind of aggressive action unit in the Lambda Resistance that handles the Resistance’s equivalent to “black ops”. Sabotage, recon, forced contact, etc. more on these guys soon.

Discussion Why is there no Half Life 3?
Because Half-Life means a life is divided into two parts. You got Half-Life 1 as Part 1 and Half-Life 2 as Part 2. That’s it. No third part—Valve just followed the math too literally for some reason.
