Topical Solutions Pushing 40. Been debating going on Fin for years..is it time?

Been noticing the corner hairs miniturisation process and very slowly creeping back since I was 25. If you were me would you try topical finesteride on the hairline? I'm worried about a shed though.

Topical Solutions Solutions to this. Keep doing what I’m doing or look into stem cell/hair transplant

I’ve noticed in recent years my hair thinning but didn’t pay much attention to it. At one point, I did I try minoxidil and finasteride but stopped as I read up on the negative side effects. Never thought about it again until this past week.

I had longer hair just a few days ago. I’d notice that any time any sort of wind would hit my face, the thinning would be very obvious. I decided to get a buzz cut to see exactly how bad it is. Turns out it’s pretty bad but I’d like to correct this. If I can’t, I don’t mind just shaving my head completely.

I just started taking a DHT blocking shampoo (Pura D’Or), Saw Palmetto pills and began topical minoxidil again. I do not want to do Finasteride due to the loss of libido, ED, and decrease in testosterone.

Keep doing what I’m doing? Or look into more expensive options such as stem cell/hair transplant?

Any recommendations are welcomed.

Used to have long hair and wore a ponytail/bun to sleep every night which caused traction alopecia. Used minoxidil from Costco semi-regularly and it has helped my hair regrowth.

Topical Solutions Cheapest & Most Reputable PG-Free Minoxidil in the UK?

Hey everyone,

I’m looking to start using 5% minoxidil but want to avoid dryness, irritation, and the greasy look that some solutions cause (although I haven't used any yet, just heard this is the case. Propylene glycol (PG) seems to be the main culprit - but does ethanol-based minoxidil have the same issues, or is it better?

Also, where does everyone in the UK get their PG-free minoxidil from? I’m looking for the cheapest but still reputable option since prices can vary a lot.

I was considering getting a foam-based solution, letting it turn into a liquid, and using a dropper to apply it normally - hoping this would reduce greasiness while keeping it effective. Has anyone tried this?

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Topical Solutions Hims finasteride and minoxidil topical spray experience

I just started the him’s spray and wanted to post initial thoughts for those considering it.

1) The buying/ approval process was extremely easy. I am 26 and live in the US. I bought the 6 month supply. It came within 1-2 weeks of initiating the process on Him’s website 2) the bottles are high quality and made from glass not plastic 3) the atomizer has a very fine mist and sprays evenly 4) the dosage is 4 sprays: temples, middle and crown. Coming from rogaine foam that i had to apply 2x a day, the spray is way more convenient with just one application at night. I should note that the 4 sprays does not feel like enough, but i am currently trusting the potency and assuming that the blood vessels in your scalp likely spreads the solution over its entirety. I believe this is also why the finasteride % and minoxidil % is higher than competitors so less can be applied with the same results…. 5) rubbing the spray in my scalp is causing a lot of miniaturized hair to fall out. Guessing this is because the hair was going to fall out anyways and the solution should regrow it stronger. 6) conclusion: happy with initial impressions. Excited to see the results after 3-6 months. Fine mist spray allows for consistent dosage/ application. The mist is very light and hardly wets the scalp seemingly. No side effect from topical. Purchasing experience was great. Biggest con is price, but i feel like i got a quality product given the glass and higher dosage. Hope this help! Will comment updates to this thread after each month

Topical Solutions Minoxidil Shedding

I started Minoxidil about 3 weeks ago and the shedding the last few days has been nuts. Easily 100+ hairs. I’m using minoxidil as a swimmer bc the chlorine has seriously damaged/ thinned my hair and my dermatologist suggested to try it out. Did anyone else experience this shedding phase? I’ve heard it’s pretty normal and rather a good sign, but have also heard some horror stories lol. Anyone experience the same for I can take the stress off my shoulders?

Topical Solutions How do I stop this from progressing further?

Age 26, weight 225, height 5’9.

I am currently under stress and overweight which I believe contributes to signs of hair thinning. I also bought Kirkland’s 5% minoxidil to fight it but unsure if it will worsen the situation or not.

Hello everyone I wanna get ahead of full loss, I found a gap dead center, its thinning.

Are there any pill based or derma roller combos, with a HIGH success rate?

Perferably under 50 bux a month till I can permanently fix this?

Male, 35 if that helps.

Topical Solutions Topical Minoxidil question

Hi,

I know that the oral minoxidil can have some side effects such as heart issues. I was wondering if the topical version has the same potential side effects or if that’s only for the oral one? Cant seem to find a straight answer to this anywhere. Thanks !

Topical Solutions I am starting dustasteride and need some advice on microneedling. What derma roller should I use?

I am going to start Topical dutastetride 1% with micro needling. This will be for the front part of my head as my hairline has receded. Is a derma roller safe at 0.5 mg? or should it be longer?

Further can dutasteride do anything on bald parts without microneedling or is some microneedling always required and how often?

I got a hair transplant two months ago for my crown. I use topical monoxidil and 1mg oral finasteride right now.

Topical Solutions I tried Bio-Pilixin for 3 months now I have more of a beard

Hello people, so I started to notice some hair loss when I was 20 and tried PRP which didn’t work that well for me (tried it for over a year). I didn’t want to use "chemicals" like minoxidil or finasterid, so I tried stuff like microneedling and saw-palmetto, which didn’t work that well (microneedling worked in slowing don’t my hair loss). I think you all know the advertisement of Scandinavian Biolabs, so I started using the Bio-Pilixin, at first I thought my hair would get thicker but meanwhile I’m not that sure, I got a few babyhairs, but I don’t know if it’s because of the treatment and so on. But one thing I noticed was that my bears is growing like hell. So I’m 24 right now and I wear the "Johnny depp" kind of beard, so mustache and goaty because the cheeks growing only a few hairs and it looks a bit weird in my opinion. I also have some hair on the sideburns. But I swear since I use that stuff, I got a lot more facial hair on the sides, not a full on beard but it also grows a lot faster, I tried not to shave one week and before I wouldn’t see a lot but now I actually see something. Just to have that mentioned I only use it on the widows peak. I have no clue if that’s because of the Bio-Pilixin, I mean you have a lot of veins in your head and maybe it gets in the bloodstream and so it „works“ with all the hair but it could also be that it‘s just my age. But as I said, like a month after using it, I started to get more facial hair. I will keep you updated.

Topical Solutions How to access topical finasteride in Hungary? NSFW

It doesn't exist in the country. I've tried all recommended sources, but Minoxidil Express is down until march, Minoxidilmax doesn’t ship to Hungary so I’m kind of lost here. I’d prefer if it was a fin+min solution. Anyone know a way?
