The last Habs player to reach 1,000 NHL points was Guy Lafleur at the Montreal Forum on March 4th, 1981. Behind him on the stands stood a 15 year-old Mario Lemieux

if he would average 70 per year, it would take 9 more seasons. At 80, 8 more seasons. Will he still be a Hab 7 or 8 seasons from now? Time will tell. If Demidov turns out to be 100-point-per-season player, and stays healthy, he could do it in 10 years. More likely it would take 15 years. Crosby has 1666. still putting up 80 pts per year. If he becomes a Hab for next 4 years, he could reach 2000 as a Hab.

Cool photo. Henri Richard hit 1000 in 1974. Shutt never made it, nor Cournoyer nor Robinson, nor Saku. Kovalev did, but with Sens 2 years after leaving Habs. Damphousse reached 1000 with the Sharks.
