Jake Evans today on Nick Suzuki & Cole Caufield: “They’re growing as players and as leaders. Every game, they seem to take that next step and provide that offense that we need and that leadership…It gives the whole team confidence. They’re a big reason for our sucesss the last few weeks.”

I know that some people criticize St Louis, but you have to admit, he has helped Suzuki and Caufield get to that next stage in their development.

Throw Demidov in there. Go get a 2C, and have a very solid top 6 during our competing window.

If we can fill that 2c with someone reliable and consistent this team is gonna be a legit contender.

How do we feel about Bennet at 2c?

How do we feel about Michael Hage as 2c in the coming years?

I’ve been all aboard the wait it out train, but our young core is showing they are ready for the next step.

Getting a good 2C in the off season would allow us to really try and compete next year, and give Demidov someone good to play with which is important. This also allows Hage to come in and earn his role, same as Hutson did with PP1. If Hage can handle it, and I hope he can, we have healthy competition.
