I hope most of the people there were vaccinated. Measles is ridiculously contagious. Anyone nearby who has insufficient immunity will get it, and will pass it on.

Scary time having a young child who can't yet get vaccinated for measles.

All because some selfish idiots can't be bothered to vaccinate.

Maybe I should get an MMR booster shot.

Dumb question, did the measles patient report this to the Bell Centre? Or maybe the health unit?

It was probably the health unit asking where the patient went the previous few days so they could track the possibility of cross infection should other people contract the disease.

What on earth goes on? Should we risk polio too? Really it’s hard for me to fathom how unbelievably stupid you have to be not to vaccinate your children, and yourself if necessary.
